Tyson Fury has made a sad admission following his wife Paris’ miscarriage six months into her pregnancy.

The professional boxer’s wife suffered a miscarriage just a day before his hotly-anticipated fight with Oleksandr Usyk in May this year.

He was only told of the devastating news when he returned to Morecambe from Saudi Arabia as he said he wasn't told ahead of his bid to be the first undisputed WBC World Heavyweight Champion for 24 years.

Fury spoke about Paris' harrowing experience, admitting that it was 'tough' for him to not be with her at that moment.

Speaking about not being able to be with Paris, Fury said: “She lost [the baby] on the Friday of the fight, which was pretty s**tty.

“I am not making excuses but she was six months pregnant. It’s not like a small miscarriage at the beginning. You have to physically give birth to a dead child, on your own, while your husband is in a foreign country. I could not be there for her, in that moment, and that is tough for me.

"I have been with the woman for longer than I wasn’t with her, so it is hard that I couldn’t be there with her.”

When asked about whether he and Paris, who are parents to seven children together, are thinking to try for another baby, the heavyweight pro fighter said: "We have had miscarriages before. It happens Will we have any more kids? I don't know if she's back to normal from that. It was only a few months ago and it takes a lot of getting over.

“But no more of this morbid stuff now because I’ll break down in tears.”

The boxer also explained that he sensed something was wrong when Paris said she couldn’t come over to see his fight.

“When she said she couldn’t come over, I knew there was a problem. She usually comes out on fight week but she had high blood pressure and couldn’t come. I asked her what was up and to tell me but she wouldn’t. So I knew.

“I knew. I knew there was a problem. I said to my brother: ‘She’s lost that baby.” She never told me she had lost the baby, but I knew. When I got back I got the inevitable confirmation that it was gone but she kept it to herself.”

Shortly after welcoming their seventh kid Prince Rico Paris Fury in September 2023, Paris appeared on Loose Women and also talked whether they may decide to have another child.

"Every time I have a baby I stop and I say 'That’s enough now, no more'," Paris explained. "And then when they get to like, nursery age, they go off, and some inkling in me is like, 'I think I want another one'."

"Seven is a lot, not going to lie," she acknowledged. "It’s very busy in my house."
