If you're anything like me, I bet you've already rattled your way through the recently-added third series of Bridgerton at record speed, and you're on the lookout for a brand new series to binge this week.

I'm right, aren't I?

Well, if you're hoping for a change in genre and are setting your sights on something slightly more serious, there's an 'intense' new police drama that seemingly every TV crime-drama fan is prattling on about...

Since airing on Channel 4 last Friday (24 May) - a channel with an already stellar reputation for gripping cop dramas and mesmerising plot twists - this brand new addition has viewers well and truly gooped.

In fact, a hoard fans have since claimed that, though they wouldn't have instinctively chosen it from the TV guide, but are delighted that they did, having been left pleasantly surprised.

The riveting crime drama - brought to viewers by Walter Presents - tells the tale of 'hardbitten' Detective Alex Enders, who - while in the latter stages of her first pregnancy - is one day kidnapped and drugged.

Waking up weeks later with a foggy memory, she discovers not only that she has given birth, but that her newborn baby has been stolen by those that abducted her.

Forced to endure a real life nightmare, Alex sets out on a mission to find out why she was targeted, what horror the assailants enacted upon her following her kidnap, and where her baby is.

As time goes on, however, and Alex's leads falter, the pressure mounts, leaving her wondering whether she'll ever lay eyes on her newborn child.

We are, of course, talking about Unbroken, the full series of which is already available on All 4.

Starring Aylin Tezel as the leading lady, it isn't just the blood-chilling plot line that has viewers obsessed with this German drama.

In fact, fans of the six-part banger have taken to social media to gush over almost every single aspect of the production - from the eerie scenery to the emotional performances.

"Good german thrillers are rare. This is one of them," one viewer penned on review site IMDB. "I enjoyed watching those six episodes. They got nice characters (poor chick), good actors and pretty thrilling plot.

"In the last episodes everybody was kind of suspicious. If ur a fan of crime I definitely recommend watching."

Another went on: "A very thrilling story about a police woman who woke up in the forest without her new born baby. Very thrilling and excellent actors!"

"Another surprisingly good show from Germany...Turkish actors are brilliant, Aylin Tezel is the best with the character she plays. This show is very underrated," a third added.

I know what I'll be binging my way through this Saturday night...
