The Traitors viewers are utterly convinced they’ve worked out which contestants are secretly related.

Now, after what has felt like a lifetime of waiting, BBC viewers have finally been treated to their latest fix of the UK version of the hit psychological adventure competition stroke reality TV programme.

Last year's season, which saw the likes of Harry Clark scooping the whopping £95,150 prize money, famously shocked audiences after it was revealed that Diane Carson and Ross Carson, were actually mother and son - unbeknownst to the rest of the contestants.

This year's season, however, revealed one family connection from the get-go.

Armani Gouveia and her younger sister, Maia, were honest with the gang about being related but that didn't stop the former - who was one of the three Traitors - being banished at the roundtable on the third episode.

And, in the same episode, Maia was also murdered by the remaining two Traitors, Linda Rands and Minah Shannon.

However, fans are convinced there is yet another pair of relatives on the hit TV show with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.

Taking to Reddit, one viewer speculated that Faithfuls Alex Oleksy and Lisa Coupland have a connection beyond the Scottish castle, writing: "These two have to be related, surely?"

Many others rushed to the comments agreeing with the fan theory, with one writing: "I saw a comment on Reddit last week saying they are the only two contestants whose social media is private (haven’t fact checked that myself); if that is the case I’d say this is a great shout."

Another penned: "That was me, and I’ve just checked again, and Lisa’s is now public - but the number of people she follows has dropped from 110 (last week) to 84 (this week). Alex’s is still private."

"There’s definitely another relationship reveal to come and this is a fair shout," declared a third, while a fourth chimed in: "I did think they looked very similar in terms of facial structure. Not sure if it’ll end up being the case but it would be a good twist."

Someone else quipped: "Wow, there is a real likeness there for sure that I hadn’t noticed. Good shout."

And a final Reddit user echoed: "Production know people are looking out for this sort of thing now, and (apart from their faces) everything else about these two is so different it makes sense as a choice."

Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

The Traitors continues tonight (9 January) at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
