I'm sure we're all very excited to see our favourite dancing couples grace the ballroom in the near-approaching Strictly Come Dancing final next month (16 December).

Talking of fan favourites, Coronation Street actor Ellie Leach, 22, and professional dancer Vito Coppola, 31, have been topping the boards the past few weeks.

Ellie has since opened up about her 'really good' relationship with Vito, amidst a whole load of dating speculation between the pair.

It all started when Sherlock star Amanda Abbington seemingly 'confirmed' that fellow contestants Ellie and Vito were now dating.

The pair achieved a near-perfect score of an impressive 39, with their dazzling performance of the American Smooth, to Robbie Williams' smash-hit 'Ain't That Kick In the Head' earlier this month (4 November).

Yesterday (6 November), the dancing duo took to Instagram to share a joint message to their adoring fans accompanied by a photo of them gracing the ballroom, after they topped the leaderboard for a second time, and made it through to the next round.

The caption read: "Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Amanda, who was confirmed to have left the show last month (23 October) for 'personal reasons', also offered her praise, but seemed to have confirmed that Ellie and Vito were more than just dance partners.

"Stunning," she penned. "So proud of the both of you."

Accompanied with a series of red heart emojis, the 51-year-old added: "You are the most beautiful couple!"

Amanda's comments came a week after Vito, who has just celebrated his first year of living in the UK, referred to Ellie as 'My Lulú' and said he never expected to 'feel so loved' in a sweet video.

In the video, the dancer addressed Ellie and added: "I am so proud of you and you know how much I believe in you.

"Just keep working hard as you are already doing every day. You are doing great baby. Have a good rest tonight and make sure you eat properly. See you tomorrow for another beautiful day together."

He also sparked further speculation when he posted an update after spending one day rehearsing with Ellie, captioning a black and white selfie with: "Just finished another day of rehearsal.

"Well done to my baby Ellie Leach."

Speaking about their partnering, Ellie has since told OK! Magazine: "We’ve got a really good relationship where we kind of know what the other needs.

"Vito even lets me have power naps during training."

Ellie opened up about how Vito was helping her with self-esteem, explaining: "Self-confidence is something I’ve always struggled with.

"Before going on Strictly I was like, 'I don’t know how I’m going to be able to do it.' I never would have expected to be performing live in front of so many people.

"But now we just do it every week and it kind of feels like my normal life. I’m not completely confident but every week we're progressing and that’s something I’m really proud of."
