Married At First Sight UK viewers are utterly convinced an alleged 'wife swap' is about to happen following one shocking episode.

Now, there's been a lot of chatter in recent episodes of the explosive Channel 4 programme, but things seem to really be heating up a notch after two particular contestants appear to be showing some undeniable chemistry - despite the fact they're married to different people.

In case you're not caught up with all the tea, Orson was coupled up with Richelle while Hannah was paired with Stephen, and it's clear neither matchings were compatible in the slightest.

Things seemed off to a rocky start for Hannah and Stephen after having a blow-out during their honeymoon, where the groom accused his wife of 'turning it into The Hannah Show' after she allegedly threatened to bring up a family secret he told her off-air.

"I told Hannah something about my family in complete confidence off-camera and she was going to use it as ammunition," Stephen explained.

Meanwhile, the bride told the camera crew: "I felt completely and utterly attacked.

"My reaction was to fight back. Imagine someone sitting in front of, 'You're this, you're that'. You're f**king rude."

Channel 4 viewers also believe they've picked up on some behaviour being exhibited by Hannah that they seem to be considering a 'red flag'.

And as for Orson and Richelle?

Well, MAFS UK fans rushed in to defend the groom after his bride called him a 'cretin' - something they thought was totally 'disrespectful'.

So, following the less-than-ideal state of both couples' relationships, viewers at home are convinced the natural progression in the saga is for both to split and look elsewhere for love - in other contestants, that is.

After peeping Orson and Hannah's alleged closeness during last night's retreat episode (15 October), they're totally convinced a 'wife swap' is just a matter of time.

Posting a snap of the pair, one X user penned: "I sense husband and wife swap."

"Ohhhh f*ck Orson fancies Hannah," speculated a second while a third piped up: "Not Orson shooting his shot. Go for it."

"I hope Orson & Hannah start an affair," confessed another, and a final X user warned: "Oh….. Hannah…… Orson????? I can see the drama ahead."

Well, I guess we'll simply have to wait and see and how it all pans out...

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
