MAFS UK fans spot groom make cameo on TV series and they can’t get over it

Channel 4 viewers have been mind blown by the realisation

The latest series of Married At First Sight UK may have come to an end three months ago, but fans are still going on about the 2024 stars.

And that's especially after this week spotting one of last year's most controversial contestants in the background of another television series.

Throughout the duration of the eight-week series, MAFS fans struggled to make their mind up about Ross McCarthy.

At first, it looked as though Channel 4's resident match-makers had it bang on when they paired the Manchester lad - who also happened to be the show's first ever deaf contestant - with Brummie lass Sacha Jones.

The pair were consistently praised for their astute communication during confrontations, and always had one another's backs when butting heads with other contestants.

Sadly, however, when the series finale approached, Ross and Sacha hit several bumps in the road, and ultimately decided to call things off.

Ross soon set tongues wagging, however, by going Insta-official with his new girlfriend just days after the series ended, and Sacha claimed in a bombshell interview that her 'angry' ex had brutally dumped her via text.

As we say, despite the series having reached its conclusion back in November, Ross is once again hitting headlines for his antics. This time, though, it's because of things that happened way before his appearance on the reality dating series.

It turns out that the painter and decorator - who was also a deaf professional footballer - once tried his hand at showbiz.

It's true, and fans of the show have this week dug up proof of his, coming across a much younger-looking Ross in the background of a clip from the much-loved Channel 4 sitcom Fresh Meat.

Taking to TikTok earlier this week, one telly-watcher revealed they were recently catching up with an episode of the Jack Whitehall hit - also famed for starring the likes of Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas and The Marvels' Zawe Ashton - and saw 'Ross' in the background.

In the scene in question - which the social media user shared on her own account - someone who looks suspiciously alike to the former MAFS contestant is seen donning what appears to be a turtle costume, walking through a fancy dress house party.

"Am I seeing things or is this guy from MAFS 2024" she poster asked in her caption, after which a tidal wave of replies came flooding in.

"Definitely!! He has an hearing aid too, can’t be a coincidence!" one noted.

Another penned: "It does look like it. Makes sense too it was done in Manchester."

"if not it's his twin," a third added.

Addressing Ross directly, another demanded: "@Ross McCarthy can you confirm or deny please?"

"literally knew it" a fifth claimed, before another went on to say: "Got to be!!"
