MAFS UK viewers ‘can’t believe their eyes’ after spotting 'unserious' detail during Adam and Polly's date night

MAFS UK viewers have spotted an unusual detail in Adam Nightingale and Polly Sellman's date night.

Viewers admitted they 'couldn't believe their eyes' after the couple sat down for a romantic evening in together during Tuesday (22 October) evening's episode, with Adam rustling up a meal for Polly.

The pair have had a rocky start (E4)

It's not been an easy ride for the pair so far on Married at First Sight UK.

Adam struggled with an initial attraction to Polly and made some rather unwise comments along the way.

He previously admitted: "The initial attraction's not 100 percent there. She's not my usual type. 10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan.

"She's not what I expected."

The pair had started to move forward in the last couple of weeks, however, and were making progress when it came to intimacy and affection.

But after Polly made a comment during girls' night, admitting she would 'twist' to groom Steven instead of 'sticking' with Adam, her husband was left in shock and 'hurt' by the comments.

When Polly broke the news about what she'd said, Adam was in so much disbelief that he believed she was joking.

However, after a bit of a spat, the pair both decided to stay during this week's commitment ceremony and have been making an effort to get along.

And in order to do something nice for Polly, Adam decided to make her dinner.

However, viewers were shocked when Adam set about cooking *his* favourite meal for Polly.

"Adam is so unserious. You make your fav meal for someone else," one person wrote on X.

"I'm so glad someone mentioned this because I COULDN'T believe my eyes in that episode!" added another.

And a third commented: "Wouldn’t it be a better gesture if he cooked her favourite meal?"

Others were pretty blown away at the meal itself, with many struggling to actually determine what it was.

While it's difficult to confirm, it seems to be some sort of penne pasta in what looks like a tomato sauce along with a garlic bread and nuggets.

Others did try and defend Adam however, with another person writing on Reddit: "I think it's cute to want to share your favourite meal for your partner.

"Also it means you can (supposedly) cook it well!

"I'd be happy if someone did that for me, the food didn't look amazing in his case but still a nice gesture."

And another said: "What he did for her was lovely."
