Fans are expressing their sympathy towards Kim Kardashian after she made a rather shocking admission.

The Kardashian clan has long been known for influencing beauty standards and is held to very high expectations when it comes to looks.

Just recently, Kim's sister Kylie Jenner broke down in tears on a recent episode of The Kardashians about people's criticism over her looks.

After a social media storm that occurred after she debuted a more natural look at Paris Fashion Week, the Kylie Beauty founder confided in her sister, supermodel Kendall Jenner.

She said: "It’s a miracle that I still have confidence and I could still look in the mirror and think that I’m pretty."

She added: "I’m kind of like, so numb to people talking about my looks at this point, and I just want to know why on the internet no one says anything or thinks that it’s okay.”

Kendall responded: "They don’t think that there are any rules with us."

She suggested that people don't think the Kardashian-Jenners 'have any feelings'.

Kylie then mused: "I think with me it’s never going to change. Why do people think it’s OK to talk about me?

"I’ve never cried about this before, but I guess it does affect me."

And now Kim is opening up about her thoughts about her own looks.

She opened up about her film career during an episode of The Kardashians, and mused about the effect Botox may have on the roles she can play.

She said: "I also feel like you need less Botox for more emotion, and I don’t have it.

"How am I going to cry? How am I going to be scared out of my mind?"

She later added during her confessional: "I can do a movie a year. I’ve got about 10 years where I still look good, so that's all I’ve got in me, and then I’ll take some time off.”

Fans have expressed some worry over the way Kim talks about her looks.

One person wrote: "Honestly, I think it's kind of sad that she feels like her value is tied to how she looks."

Another person added: "In 10 years she will be 53, I'm sorry but this is ageism. We have actresses and singers between 49 and 70 looking HOT: Angelina Jolie, Angela Basset, Michelle Pfeiffer, Madonna ... I have an endless list."

While a third person chimed: "That is so…sad."

The Kardashians is available to stream on Disney+.
