The Celebrity Big Brother outrage continues after Mickey Rourke made comments towards JoJo Siwa in the house, and now, her mum has spoken out.

Veteran actor Mickey, 72, made a series of homophobic remarks towards JoJo, 21, who identifies as a lesbian.

His behaviour has stunned viewers at home, shortly after he made inappropriate comments to host AJ Odudu as well.

People have hit out at Big Brother, saying more should have been done than just the official warning given to Mickey.

Viewers at home were horrified after Mickey asked JoJo about her sexuality and whether she was into boys or girls, before saying if she spent long enough in the house with him, she would no longer be gay.

He then went even further by threatening to 'tie you up', despite JoJo's protestations that she would still very much be a lesbian and in a happy, committed relationship.

JoJo's partner Kath Ebbs was the first to speak out, but now Dance Moms star JoJo's mum has responded to Mickey's comments.

Jessalyn Siwa has posted a response on her Instagram story, following the extensive coverage of Rourke's treatment of her daughter.

She shared a post by the JoJoSiwaData account, which featured comments from upset fans with the words 'the world is waking up'.

Some of the commenters in the screenshot had written: "JoJo Siwa has absolutely held herself more beautifully than she has needed to in this situation."

Another added: "I never saw myself as a JoJo Siwa stan but here we are,", with one agreeing: "JoJo Siwa (21) being more mature and attempting to educate Mickey Rourke who is five decades older than her proves how out of touch with the world he is."

Jessalyn and JoJo shot to fame as part of the Dance Moms reality show series, and Jessalyn shared the story with her 1.5 million instagram followers.

She hasn't made any comment of her own as yet, but seemed to agree with the sentiment of the JoJoSiwaData account.

Elsewhere, JoJo's partner Kath lashed out at Mickey and for other housemates for not defending JoJo, and she called Mickey a 'pig'.

"Also the fact that only ONE person pulled him up on it is very telling of where we are at," said an upset Kath.

“Men don’t bother wearing your ribbons on International Women's Day if you’re not going to actually start doing something to end men’s violence against women.

“It doesn’t just start when a woman or queer person is physically assaulted. The ladder to that is comments like this.”

A spokesperson for Big Brother said: "All Housemates receive Respect and Inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the Big Brother Senior team to prepare them for living in the House and to set out Big Brother’s expectation for appropriate behaviour and language. Housemates are monitored 24 hours a day and instances of inappropriate behaviour are dealt with appropriately and timely.”
