Thankfully, the noughties weren’t solely defined by questionable fashion choices – we were also given a wealth of truly iconic films that we still quote on the reg.

The majority were rom-coms and we’re extremely glad to have them in the archive, because is it just us or are there barely any good romcoms anymore?!

Some honourable mentions include How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Coyote Ugly.

Ahh, memory lane

But the best of all - and who among us could ever forget it - is by far John Tucker Must Die.

Cast members Sophia Bush, Jesse Metcalfe and Arielle Kebbel spoke about a reunion.

A total hall of fame movie, John Tucker holds a special place in our hearts and boasts the ultimate cast of the moment – Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia Bush, Brittany Snow, Penn Badgley and even Ashanti.

It’s hard to believe, and we apologise in advance, but John Tucker hit the big screen all the way back in 2006 and fans have been crossing their fingers ever since for a sequel.

Well, now it seems like our manifestation may have been working, as footage emerged yesterday of Jesse Metcalfe who played the titular role of John Tucker, talking about the possibility of another film.

One fan labelled the film 'a cinematic masterpiece'.

He said, during a panel alongside co-stars Sophia Bush and Arielle Kebbel: “I’ve heard rumours of this script, there’s a script.

“There’s a sequel to John Tucker Must Die… would you guys be interested in a sequel?”

The crowd then erupts into screaming and cheering – so it’s safe to assume that’s a huge yes.

Jesse continues: “I’ve been hearing rumblings about this script circulating Hollywood.

“Apparently it’s amazing. I’m yet to read it. But I would definitely love to be a part of it, so I can’t wait to read it.”

Arielle Kebbel, involved in producing the reboot, then says: “The rumour is true. There is a script. We are very proud of it – it does include all of the OG cast… it also blends a very cool new cast.”

Metcalfe interjects: “Do I get the chance to wear a thong again?”

Arielle continues: “We wanna talk to you about that.”

We can't wait.

Metcalfe then says: “I’m in. Never stopped wearing ‘em.

“I can’t wait to unleash this dad bod on the big screen.”

Sophia Bush then says: “There’s a lot of support out here. We love to see it.”

Arielle concludes: “That’s pretty much all we can say for now. But yall’s enthusiasm is inspiring.

“It’s been a very special thing to see the love and support of this, almost 20 years later.

“We literally would not be here without you.”

Fans rushed to the comments to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “John Tucker Must Die is a cinematic masterpiece.”

Another added: “When is this coming I need to know!!”

A third echoed: “Omg omg omg I’d love to see a sequel.”

We. Can't. Wait.
