A series has been branded 'far and above most' after viewers claim it's the 'best' show currently on TV.

If there's ever a time of year you need another new series to watch, it's definitely when the darker nights are starting to creep in.

Well, we seem to be in luck, as viewers of one particular show are branding it as the 'best' series on TV right now - one even suggested it's better than anything Shakespeare could have 'cooked up'.

According to viewers, if the Succession finale left you longing for another business drama with money-hungry characters, this could be the answer to all your prayers.

Industry is back for season three, a drama about young finance graduates at Pierpoint & Co, an investment banking firm.

The company expects its employees to play just as hard as they work, and there isn't a lack of twists and turns.

You can watch the dramatic trailer for the new season below:

The drama is written by Konrad Kay and Mickey Down, who both previously worked in investment banking - making some elements of the show even more jaw-dropping.

It first aired in 2020, and is available to watch in the UK on BBC iPlayer.

The end of season two saw a bombshell moment, when high-flying employee Harper Stern was sacked from the company.

We'll just have to see what's in store for her in season three, as well as other characters who remain in the toxic workforce.

Viewers have not held back on their praise for the show.

Taking to X to share their thoughts, one person said: "I’m so sorry but #IndustryHBO cementing itself as one of the best shows on television this year.

"On its third season mind you."

Another said: "Sorry, but this season of #IndustryHBO is just far and above most of what’s airing on television these days, just masterful storytelling on every level.

"I cannot not even tell you what’s even going to happen in the finale next week and it's the best thing ever."

A third added: "S3 of Industry on HBO is some of the best TV in a long time. Very highly recommended."

Another went even further, saying: "Even Shakespeare couldn't cook up a tale of betrayal like what we just witnessed Eric do to Adler."

I guess it will have to be added to our watchlist!

Industry season three drops on BBC iPlayer on 1 October. Seasons one and two are available to stream now.
