I’m A Celebrity star Fred Sirieix hits back at claims he ‘bullied’ Josie Gibson

He's opened up about his I'm a Celeb argument ...

Fred Sirieix has hit major headlines after being booted from the jungle.

The First Dates star became the third to be voted out of ITV's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here camp.

Fred saw a rather controversial time in the jungle, with his well publicised scrap with Nella Rose - who was offended by Fred's comment about him being old enough to be her dad - initially dividing the internet.

But since then, Fred had also seemingly clashed with This Morning presenter Josie Gibson.

He'd been criticised by fans after making rude comments about Josie's cooking, at one point joking: “It’s like a horror movie from the ’80s.”

Josie admitted: “I like Fred, but it’s not very nice being told what you’ve done isn’t good enough.”

After being evicted from the camp, Fred initially addressed his comments to Gibson in his interview with Ant and Dec.

Fred was the third person to be evicted off I'm A Celeb.

He explained the major issue he had with Josie's cooking style, telling the presenters: "She's just making it up as she goes along. So I think there's a lot at stake with the food.

"And it's not just what you're cooking at the moment which of course is going to be good, because the produce is incredible, it is what you can do the next day with the leftovers of the bones."

He continued: "You really need the calories, and you've got to find them whenever you can. I think we missed out on quiet a few meals [by not recycling ingredients]."

However, it seems this explanation was not good enough for fans.

Many were still unsure about the feud, and even accused Fred of bullying Josie.

This has led Fred to address this situation once more ...

He laughed : “I am going to get a b*llocking from my mum.

"I am not looking forward to it but there is nothing I can do.

“It wasn’t meant in an offending way or a bad way or in a sexist way — I want to emphasise that.

"I am not sexist and I am not mean.

"In hindsight, I should have just let her get on with it. I should have just sat back. I think she is a lovely girl.”

He also insisted the pair had a close bond which wasn't shown on screen, and insisted : “If she was offended, of course I will apologise.”
