Concerned I’m A Celeb fans point out worrying detail after second contestant leaves the jungle

Concerned I’m A Celeb fans point out worrying detail after second contestant leaves the jungle

Last night's episode saw radio presenter Dean McCullough leave the camp

Viewers of last night's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! were left shocked with the results of the public vote leading up to the second eviction.

The celebs have begun to be booted out of the iconic reality show's jungle, with Loose Women's Jane Moore having been the first to leave, followed by Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough yesterday.

Dean leaving the show was of little surprise to viewers after his reluctance to complete Bushtucker Trials and fulfil camp duties were broadcast for all to see.

In Dean's exit interview, the Northern Irish presenter said that he had 'really, really enjoyed' his time in the jungle, and admitted that it had been 'nothing like he expected it to be'.

The surprising thing was which celebrity joined Dean in the bottom two and risked losing their spot in the jungle.

Former professional boxer Barry McGuigan was at risk of being voted out of I'm A Celebrity - which was truly shocking considering the show has solidified the 63-year-old as a beloved figure.

The mood was tense as hosts Ant and Dec paused before revealing that it was in fact Dean who was set to leave the camp - and viewers have been left dumbfounded by Barry's vulnerable position.

Barry has become a fan favourite among I'm A Celebrity viewers, having spoken emotionally and candidly about the tragic loss of his daughter, Danika McGuigan, who died in 2019 aged just 33 after a diagnosis of leukaemia.

The heartbreaking scenes showed Barry sharing: "They thought she wasn’t going to get better but she fought back and she won it. She had two years of chemo," before tearfully admitting: “I’ve tried to talk about it but no matter what I do, it just all comes back."

The boxing legend has also forged an unlikely but incredibly wholesome friendship with McFly's Danny Jones in the jungle, which has been a complete delight to watch.

As a result, the complete disbelief amongst I'm A Celebrity viewers following last night's public vote result is entirely understandable.

One person wrote on X following Barry's spot in the bottom two: "If Barry had gone and not Dean I would have ripped the tv off the wall #ImACeleb."

Another added: "Thank god it was Dean. But Barry in the bottom 2? How on earth did that happen? #ImACeleb."

While a third said: I was about to loooose it if Barry went over Dean."
