Ant McPartlin has admitted he was ‘unprofessional’ towards I’m A Celeb’s Dean McCullough during his most recent trial.

Now, ITV viewers will be all too aware of the fact the BBC Radio 1 host hasn't been faring too well in the challenges after screaming out 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' during the 'Sinister Sarcophagus' trial.

And then in last night's episode (21 November), the 32-year-old faced yet another Bushtucker Trial as the public once again voted for him to tackle it, but once again shouted the title of the show ending the challenge half-way through.

And Ant's supposed disappointment over Dean throwing the towel in two times in a row clearly didn't go unnoticed with fans at home, with many rushing to social media to share their thoughts on the matter.

One X user said: "Dying at how obvious it is that Ant cannot stand Dean."

"Not Ant telling off Dean for doing s**te in the last 2 trials," quipped a second, while a third chimed in: "Ant cannot STAND Dean and he’s not even trying to hide it lmaoo."

Viewers at home may have a point given that, after the 'Sinister Sarcophagus' trial, it soon became clear that neither Ant nor Dec were pleased with the move, telling I'm A Celebrity Unpacked viewers they wanted to see the trial 'done properly'.

Dec began: "We are genuinely disappointed because you are prepared to do the whole trial and you want to see the whole thing.

"There’s a lot of time gone into the trials so when it’s called early your like, 'Aww'. That’s why we continued to ask him some questions after because we were really enjoying it."

Ant then jibed: "But on the other side we’re like 'oh, a bit of an early finish, let’s get out and get a suntan'."

Then when asked directly if crew members become disgruntled when a celebrity sacks off a challenge early doors, the pair confirmed they do.

"They just want to see it done properly," Ant admitted.

"Even in the past when we’ve had people not go through with it we’ve sometime bought the trials back because we want them to be seen."

And when discussing the events during last night's Unpacked segment, Ant admitted: "My annoyance came across on screen and I was quite unprofessional and I’m not happy about it."

Reflecting on his behaviour, the presenter explained: "You get to the point where you’re like 'What are you doing?'"

"I think you hid it quite well," Dec jokingly mocked.

However, Ant has said he'd be 'kinder' to Dean as he faces his fourth trial, adding: "I’m going to try good cop today."
