I'm A Celeb's Grace Dent's replacement confirmed as she quits before Bushtucker Trial

Grace Dent's replacement has been confirmed by ITV

Following news of Grace Dent's departure from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, her replacement for the upcoming Bushtucker Trial has been confirmed.

Viewers watched last night (26 November) as the restaurant critic was voted to face tonight's (27 November) trial 'Down The Tubes'.

Grace, 50, would be have been taking on the task alongside This Morning's Josie Gibson.

While Josie looked delighted to have been voted to participate, Grace sat in the camp looking pensive.

This came after a week of concern from I'm A Celeb viewers that she didn't look well.

Hours after the vote results were announced, ITV confirmed that Grace had left the jungle.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the show said: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds.

"She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."

Following the announcement, Good Morning Britain revealed which campmate would be taking her place in the trial.

The show's entertainment reporter, Richard Arnold, revealed the news as he was reporting from Australia.

He said: "There was a lot of speculation on the Twittersphere and other social media platforms about Grace and that she didn't look well and that her spirit seemed somewhat dampened alongside her other campmates.

"It does seem that being voted for this next trial has broken the camel's back as it were. All we know is officially is that she has left after 10 days on the basis of medical grounds."

He told Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley: "It means that, of course, Josie will be facing the Down The Tubes trail but she won't be facing it alone.

"Now that Grace has departed the camp, I can exclusively reveal that Danielle [Harold] was the third most voted for campmates to take part into tonight's trial so it'll be down to Danielle and Josie."

Danielle is best known for playing Lola Pearce-Brown on EastEnders from 2011 to 2015, then again from 2019 to 2023.

It's worth noting that both Nigel Farage and Nella Rose were exempt from this trial on medical grounds.

So far, they have been the two campmates most voted to be subject to creepy crawlies.

Since being Down Under, Nigel has clashed with some of his camp mates over politics - particularly on the subject of Brexit.

Nella, on the other hand, has butted heads with First Dates' Fred Sirieix over a comment he made that she took offence to.

Josie and Danielle's trial will shown on tonight's show, which will air at 9pm on ITV.
