Moana 2 viewers urged to look out for one important detail in new movie as fans all make the same complaint

People might get what they asked for after all if they pay attention to Moana 2

Warning: This article contains spoilers about the film which could ruin your viewing experience. Proceed at your own caution.

With Moana 2 set to hit UK cinemas tomorrow (November 29), fans have been told to watch out for this one detail after some viewers complained about an important aspect of the flick.

It has been 8 years since Moana was released in 2016, and people have been eagerly waiting for the next instalment.

Considering the first film was met with unprecedented success and smashed the box office thanks to its authentic islander vibes, songs and cast, the second one has a lot to live up to.

This time around, the film is set to bring back some of the names that people grew to know and love as the voices of their favourite characters, including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Auli'i Cravalho, and Nicole Scherzinger.

What was so great about Moana was that it was true to the culture it was representing, was set on the Polynesian island of Motunui, and detailed the lives of those who worship the goddess of nature, Te Fiti.

Moana 2 takes place three years after the events of the first film, showing Moana finally living her dream of travelling around new islands, as she tries to discover people who are connected to the ocean like her.

This time, it follows Moana learning about a vision from her ancestor, Tautai Vasa, who tells her that an evil storm god called Nalo wanted power over mortals, and as a result of his actions, nobody is connected to the ocean anymore.

So, Moana goes on an adventure to sort things out.

However, while the film has been met with overall excitement, there's something that many people have been pretty turned off by.

As it turns out, Hamilton's Lin Manuel Miranda (who wrote all of the songs for the first film) was replaced by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear in Moana 2 and people are less than impressed.

Those who have already seen the flick in the US have criticised the move, but it could all be saved if you watch this detail at the end of the film.

Now, you might be thinking that there's no way that the flick will have flop songs, but some people think that's exactly what's happened.

Owen Gleiberman wrote for Variety about the switch: "The songs in Moana 2, by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, are perky and appealing, with that electrified island drum bounce, but most of them sound like the imitation-Lin-Manual knockoffs they are."

However, if you stay until the post-credits, you'll see that there's room for the Moana franchise to be saved...with the addition of a potential 3rd film.

Basically, for those who like to sit and watch right until the end in case there's a sneaky end-scene, you'll be treated to the emergence of a new character called Nalo.

The glowing purple storm god previously sent Matangi to act on their behalf, but as Moana and Maui have foiled his plans, he's set on revenge.

The scene also reintroduces Tamatoa, the giant crab monster who seems to want to join hands with Nalo and Matangi to get back at Moana and Maui, which is clearly a sign that there's going to be a third film.

Right?

So, hopefully, the music will be back on track for this next flick.
