New reality show where all the contestants are completely naked is not one to watch with your parents

The Paramount+ reality series appears to be a mix of Naked Attraction and Love Island

Have you ever been so single that you've debated applying to a reality dating series in a hope of finding that special someone?

Well, what if one of the general requirements of the show was to be naked 24 hours a day? Yeah, I bet that would change your answer pretty quickly.

Apparently, however, such a premise for a show is actually on the horizon for Brits, and is due to kick off any day now.

So, if you're a fan of dating telly and not a potential applicant, then grab the remote and settle in, as this new series is about to knock your socks off.

Oh, and one final piece of advice. Do NOT watch in the company of your parents, because things are about to get spicy.

In case you haven't heard of it, we're talking about Dating Naked UK - I know, a pretty literal name for the x-rated concept - which lands on Paramount+ and MTV later this month.

Hosted by the British reality TV icon Rylan Clark - famed for his appearances on the likes of The X Factor, Celebrity Big Brother, This Morning and Supermarket Sweep - the show will follow 10 love-hungry singles on a hunt to find 'the One'.

The only catch? They are, of course, stark naked the entire time.

Plonked slap bang in the middle of a tropical island, the contestants will face new challenges as each newbie joins the group, causing a stir within romances.

Each episode will see couples taken out on dates, before an elimination sees either singletons or pairs being dumped from the island.

Basically, think Naked Attraction meets Love Island for this 'birthday suit' extravaganza, which - according to producers - 'contains full nudity without any blurring or pixelation'.

And just to make things even more exciting, the winning couple will walk away from the island, not only with a brand new lover on their arm, but a colossal cash prize.

So, as well as convincing each other of the validity of their on-screen romance, they also have to convince viewers that their love is strong enough to last on the outside world.

TV presenter Rylan, 36, previously gave future viewers a taste of what they could expect from the show, claiming it'd 'blow' their minds.

"Not only does it feature dating and drama, on top of that everyone will be totally starkers!" he told press.

"You will not want to miss this."

And in their own promotion for the show, Paramount let out a little teaser earlier this year, which said: "Fed up of the dating game and ditching the complications and constraints of the modern world, these singles will be stripping right back to basics and baring all, in the name of finding love.

"With an abundance of drama, desire and dates, this brand-new series brings together a host of larger-than-life personalities all with one thing in common — they are living in a tropical paradise, stark naked 24/7."

Dating Naked UK kicks off on Wednesday 23 August, before airing weekly on Fridays.

Guess that's my Friday nights sorted for the foreseeable!
