Chris Hughes left crying over JoJo Siwa as he makes emotional admission about her

Chris Hughes was left in tears as he spoke about being 'down' on Celebrity Big Brother, after fellow housemates called out his relationship with JoJo Siwa.

No one could have predicted the seemingly bizarre relationship between the 32-year-old former Love Island star, and 21-year-old American influencer.

But it seems that things all got a bit much for Chris in tonight's episode (21 April), as a preview saw the star break down in tears while talking to big brother.

Chris and JoJo have been extremely tactile during the show.

Between sleeping in beds together, giving each other massages, and writing secret notes on one another's hands, fans are just very confused.

JoJo, who is a lesbian, has been very open about having a partner back at home in the US - 27-year-old Kath Ebbs.

But blurred lines with her and Chris on the show, have prompted viewers to question her loyalty to her partner over the pond.

In the preview, the Love Island alumni could be seen getting upset after being called a 'gameplayer' during the latest family-themed shopping task.

The comments were made by Angellica Bell and Ella Rae Wise, after axed housemate Daley Thompson planted the seed in their minds.

He suggested that the unlikely pair were doing all they could to hog the screen time, as Ella later described them as 'social climbers'.

Visably upset in the famous diary room, Chris said: "I'm literally just in here being me, living.

"I hate f***ing toxic stuff in life like I hate environments.

"It just brings you down."

The influencer also suggested that Ella’s actions stemmed from jealousy, that she wasn't as close with him as the 21-year-old superstar is.

He said: "She isn't sweet on JoJo so there might be a jealousy thing there, I don't know.

"She likes to have her two pence worth and if she's out of a conversation she wants to be in it."

While many people are enjoy seeing their friendship blossom, others are questioning whether things have gone further than anyone anticipated.

One viewer said: "I've grown to love JoJo and her friendship with Chris, but some of the things that's happened between them is not normal in a friendship in my opinion."

Another was more cynical, as they suggested: "Just absolutely bizarre behaviour even beyond JoJo being a lesbian. The age gap is f**king weird as well.

"Is he trying to crack America or something?"
