Chris Hughes has been called out by fans over the allegedly 'creepy' comment he made towards JoJo Siwa on Celebrity Big Brother.

ITV viewers have been watching on as the former Love Islander, 32, and the 21-year-old Dance Moms star's friendship has been blossoming in the Big Brother house - especially after Chris defended JoJo against Mickey Rourke's homophobic remarks.

In one of the hit reality TV series' latest episodes, the remaining housemates headed into the Diary Room to decide who they wanted to see leave the house and, to pass the time, a few of them gathered round the sofa to play a memory game. Take a look at the clip here:

They each listed one item which they would get from a supermarket with the person whose go it was needing to remember each item in order from the entire group as they went along.

And, when it came to JoJo's turn, she was able to successful recount every single item - something which clearly impressed Chris.

"That was really good, really well remembered," he congratulated her, before randomly adding: "That's a big turn on, that."

"What?" JoJo, who identifies as lesbian and is in a relationship with non-binary partner, Kath Ebbs, asked as he repeated: "A big turn on, that."

While some many have thought Chris' comments were just a bit of platonic fun, it's clear many CBB viewers at home couldn't have disagreed more as they rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the 'creepy' remark.

"Ffs man Chris… feel like that just gave JoJo the ick. 'Big turn on that'," penned one X user.

A second chimed in: "Why is Chris telling JoJo that was a turn on? This is so creepy!"

"Sorry did Chris just say to JoJo that it was a big turn on her remembering a shopping list?" wondered a third, while a fourth hit out: "Also sorry but why did Chris say to JoJo that was a turn on ew."

Another echoed: "Did Chris just say JoJo remembering the list in the game they’re playing is a big turn on?"

And a final X user questioned: "Why on earth did Chris say to JoJo that 'it’s a big turn on that' when she remembered everyone’s shopping in that game?!"

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight from 9pm on ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player. It will be followed by companion show Late & Live on ITV2 and ITVX from 10pm.

Tyla has contacted a representative for Chris Hughes for a comment.
