AI creates what Barbie would look like if she was from UK and Ireland’s major cities

We asked AI what Barbie would look like if she was from our Real World and maybe Barbie Land is better

The Barbie movie has now been in cinemas for a full weekend after months of anticipation and a whole load of full-out pink promo.

Greta Gerwig’s already legendary film sees Barbie, played by the fabulous Margot Robbie, leave Barbie Land for the Real World during her journey of self-discovery.

But while there’s a Barbie for many occasion - and many roles from President Barbie to Weird Barbie and Mermaid Barbie to Physicist Barbie - there isn’t Barbies for different cities.

So, we asked AI for some help.

We asked Midjourney to generate us some images of what Barbie would look like if she was from UK and Ireland’s major cities. And the results are interesting.

Here we go…

London

This Barbie is from London.

This Barbie loves to get public transport.

According to AI, if the doll was from the English capital she'd be posing in the middle of the road with her best pout and curly blow. Sounds about right if you've ever seen the influencers standing in the centre of Oxford Street.

Plus, she's even got a bobble on her wrist ready for when her locks make her too hot on the tube.

Now we'll head up to Wales.

Cardiff

This Barbie is from Cardiff.

Apparently, if Barbie was from Cardiff, she'd also be dressing like she's from absolute decades ago.

AI seems to think all the Welsh capital dollies would style their hair in big, bouncy fringes.

And then to match it, some washed-out pink beaded jewellery, bold 60's-like lashes and a slightly more conservative vintage-looking dress. Oh, and Cardiff Barbie wouldn't have much to smile about either it seems.

Dublin

This Barbie is from Dublin.

This Barbie loves to wear her hair big. Like, really big.

And the Irish doll apparently likes to match her big blowout with some equally dramatic top and bottom eyelashes.

She also doesn't show much skin with a long-sleeve jacket worn with floral patterns. But of course, she wears a chunky buckle belt over the top to keep that Barbie waist snatched.

Let's see how the Northern Irish Barbie differs...

Belfast

This Barbie is from Belfast.

Northern Irish Barbie loves to layer. For some unknown reason, AI seems to think if the doll was from Belfast she'd wear an oversized leather jacket (in pink, obviously) over the top of some kind of buttoned-up denim jacket/shirt.

She also loves a bit of eyeliner with a classic smokey eye. Heavy on the makeup, the doll likes to pose for the camera - but not look at it - and wear a bright bold pink lip.

Glasgow

This Barbie is from Glasgow.
Tyla/Midjourney

Scottish Barbie likes to, well, hold onto her own boob? AI has made this doll pose a little oddly as it seems to think the Scot would be the doll to show off the most cleavage, with the top buttons of her checkered shirt undone.

Like Cardiff Barbie, the Glasgow doll also wears a rather older style of hair-do. But don't worry, she should always be on time with that massive watch on her wrist.

You can find the complete list of city Barbies in our video above. How do you think AI did? I think I'd rather dress for Barbie Land than the Real World to be honest.
