Any true crime fanatics out there have been properly spoilt as of late with Netflix providing us banger after banger.

And the latest addition to the true crime category on the streaming platform, which people are hailing as 10/10, has left viewers absolutely gripped.

Now, the six-part series is based on the chilling true story of a murder that shocked Spain, and the rest of the world for that matter, back in 2013.

The investigative thriller is based on the true story of Asunta Fong Yang Basterra Porto’s murder.

Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra, a 'well-to-do couple' living in Santiago de Compostela, adopted Asunta at nine-months-old in 2001.

Flash forward some years, just a matter of days before Asunta’s 13th birthday, Rosario and Alfonso reported her missing to the police.

Her body was found hours later just outside Santiago and the investigation that followed led to the two parents becoming prime suspects.
