Monsters actor Cooper Koch has revealed the truth behind his NSFW penis scene on the controversial Netflix programme.

Koch played Erik Menendez in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story while Nicholas Alexander Chavez starred as his brother, Lyle.

The nine-part series, which landed on Netflix back in September, has received a heap of criticism, namely due to its 'incest' storyline and the various inaccuracies covering the true crime case.

The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, has since hit back against the brothers' outrage, and even claimed the pair were 'reprehensible and disgusting' for allegedly 'playing the victim card'.

Around the criticism surrounding the Monsters series, was also an interest in one particular scene in episode three which saw Koch as Erik completely naked.

The scene sees Erik follow a fellow inmate into the prison showers and, as they are showering, the pair look at each other and touch themselves.

It prompted many viewers to wonder if the full-frontal nudity was real or if it was filmed using a prosthetic penis, with one X user writing: "Cooper Koch is my new obsession. Also, was it a prosthetic in the shower scene?"

A second penned: "Are we all just going to gloss over the cooper koch shower scene in monsters?? Like is that thing REAL??!!?!??"

"Whyyyy is nobody talking about Cooper Koch’s shower scene???" quipped a final X user.

Well, the actor has since addressed the queries and put the matter to bed once and for all.

Speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Koch revealed: "Also just to say mine was not a prosthetic.

"Well, that was going to be my next question," Cohen responded before congratulating the actor: "You're very blessed, aren't you?"

Koch then quipped: "Well hung."

The series in question has finally been knocked off Netflix’s top spot after the fourth season of the 'binge-worthy' drama, Outer Banks, finally dropped.

Outer Banks has become something of a cult hit since it first hit screens in 2020, and now it’s back with a new instalment, much to fans’ delight.

Set in a community on the Outer Banks coastal region in North Carolina, the show follows two groups of teenagers in search of a lost treasure,

"The treasure hunt is far from over," Netflix says of the new season. "The Pogues are back for more action and adventure with a fourth season of Outer Banks."

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is currently available to stream on Netflix.
