Christina Aguilera hit back at critics who have been a little too opinionated on her appearance.

Some have accused the 44-year-old star of taking Ozempic, a prescription medication given for diabetes which has become synonymous with weight loss due to reported side effects.

However, the 'Dirrty' singer has now given a straight-forward reply to any criticism.

Sharing a video on her Instagram, Christina created a collage of some of the comments that have been made about her body, both good and bad.

It includes comments such as: "Wait, how old is she?"

Another reads: "That's not Christina, are you serious?"

And one more says: "Who is this again?! Because the caption said Christina Aguilera but this girl ain't her."

The video then changes to a highlight reel of her year and a caption urging people to be confident.

“This year, doing something a little different,” Christina wrote. “This is a reminder to everyone that you are your OWN STORYTELLER in your OWN LIFE. No one else can dictate who you are. No one deserves an explanation.”

“I am evolved enough to know that nothing comes easy and no one is perfect,” she added. “Everyone will judge you. No matter WHAT you do. And/ or what you don’t do. Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first.”

She continued: “And the difficult journey it takes sometimes to get there. I celebrate everyone taking the time to put one step in front of the next everyday in order to build the next version of themselves for the better. Allowing yourself grace, patience and respect…”

The singer has always been known for encouraging her fans to love themselves as they are, thanks to the anthemic 'Beautiful' and the regular interviews she has given about the importance of self-love.

It hasn't always been easy for Christina though, as she opened up to Glamour magazine about the pressure she felt growing up with people judging her weight and changing body.

“When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s,” she said in August 2024.

“I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, she’s getting thicker.’ Then I had industry people: ‘They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.’”

Christina added: “I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f*** about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on.

“It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.”

Fans have since rushed to the comment section of her recent post, with many praising the star.

"This is why I love you. You stand on business. You inspire me always," praised one follower.

A second assured: "Haters are gonna hate. You do you and the true fighters will always have your back."

While a final user commented: "She said 'mind your business, bc while I'm out here living my life and thriving, y'all home commenting on my every move."
