Love Island’s Catherine Abaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson have split, just days after leaving the iconic villa.
It comes after they were dumped from the hit ITV show, in one of the most brutal and unexpected moments of the series.
Whilst they may have left together, the couple has allegedly barely seen each other since the show ended, with their relationship ‘struggling’ as a result.

In a live on social media, Catherine seemed to confirm the sad news to fans and spoke about her life after Love Island.
“So, yeah…pretty early on Elom and I decided like we’re just friends…” revealed the 22-year-old.
The news is all the sadder given that the couple only left the villa two weeks ago (July 12), but many had been expecting such an update.
Fans are speculating that she may reunite with her former beau, Scott Van Der Sluis, whom she was coupled up with before Casa Amor.
In addition, her now ex-boyfriend, Elom, had been seemingly hinting at their breakup following their dramatic exit from the ITV dating show.
Many fans had been shocked by his comments, after the fitness performer appeared on the Reality podcast last week (July 21).
During the show, the 22-year-old seemed to confirm that he was single and told listeners: “I want to focus on myself.”
Continuing, he added: Coming out of the villa is like a thing where there's obviously a lot of light on both of us innit and we both need to focus on ourselves.”
The moment was even more awkward considering that his then-girlfriend was sitting beside him during the intense interview. (Eek!)
Whilst breakups are never easy, many fans have been wondering what the cause of the sudden split was.
According to The Sun, an insider said that Catherine and Elom had ‘struggled’ since their exit.
They told the tabloid: “The pair struggled to make it work in the real world and barely saw each other since the show ended.
“They kept up a bit of a pretence, while they did the podcast circuit, but everyone knew it was over before it even really started.
However, there was another surprising reason behind the split which the insider also revealed.
“Catherine's sister made no secret about her feelings towards Elom, so it's no surprise she cooled things off straight away.” (Ouch!)
It seems that love is no less brutal off-camera!
