After a full year of anticipation, the 2025 cast for Love Island: All Stars has finally been announced... well, sort of.

This time around, fans of the ITV2 dating series have been left baffled by one aspect of the line-up's reveal, with many taking to social media to ask one particular question.

This year's instalment of the star-studded series marks the second of its kind, with presenter Maya Jama coming back to welcome another batch of former contestants - all of whom featured on previous series of the show.

Last year, viewers saw a total of 25 ex-Islanders sexily strut right back into the famous Love Island villa.

Whilst some were entirely single - including the likes of Jess Gale (2020), Joshua Ritchie (2015), Anton Danyluk (2019), Casey O'Gorman (2023) - others had previously been embroiled in love affairs with their fellow stars.

Georgia Steele, for example, had previously dated co-stars Toby Aromolaran and Tom Clare when the trio were thrown once again into the villa together, whilst exes Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish came face to face for the first time in over a year.

Speaking of former flames, the 2024 series also saw the return of Callum Jones and Molly Smith, who'd met on the 2020 winter series, but sadly split weeks prior to the All Star version.

Despite fans of the former couple hoping they'd rekindle, Molly went on to win the show with now-boyfriend Tom Clare.

Naturally, fans of the big-name series are hoping for as much head-spinning drama this year - and by the first-look at the 2025 cast, there will be.

The official Love Island Instagram account this morning (7 Jan) shared an image of four stars, set to land in the villa when the series returns on Monday 13.

First up is Gabby Allen, who appeared on the 2017 series, going on to enjoy a year-long romance with co-star and former Blazing Squad member Marcel Somerville.

The Liverpool-born 32-year-old sparked fears last year that she'd split from boyfriend Brandon Myers after almost four together and by the looks of things, she's ready to find love again.

Up next is 28-year-old Curtis Pritchard, who famous broke Amy Hart's heart and dated Maura Higgins on the 2019 series, alongside the likes of best pal Tommy Fury and his now-ex Molly Mae Hague.

Coming in third is Kaz Crossley, who appeared on the 2019 series, where she struck up a romance with Josh Denzel, from whom she split after six months of dating on the outside world.

She has since enjoyed a brief romance with another fellow Islander, 2017 star Theo Campbell, but they broke up in 2020.

Lastly, 2020 star Nas Majeed, who dated co-star and girlfriend Eva Zapico until last year.

Another batch released an hour later then saw 2024 star Ronnie Vint - who dated Harriett Blackmore and Jess Spencer on the show - posing with three other All Stars members.

Scott Thomas, 36, who dated Kady McDermott in 2016, was also announced, along with Olivia Hawkins and Katherine Agbaje from the 2022 series.

Then a third batch - released a matter of minutes ago - saw another four ex-Islanders being shown in a photo alongside Maya Jama, hinting that they might be the last of this year's group.

In the snap is 2019 star India Reynolds, who dated Ovie Soko on the show and somewhat caused the break-up between co-stars, Anna Vakili and Jordan Haymes, after she caught his attention.

Also set to take part next week is Luca Bish, who enjoyed a romance with 2023 star Gemma Owen - though the pair split just weeks after the series ended.

Joining them is Marcel Sommerville - a.k.a Gabby Allen's ex!

So, basically, expect major drama between these two...

And lastly, we have Elma Pazaar, who entered the 2019 series as a bombshell alongside Maura Higgins before going on to feature as a permanent fixture on TOWIE.

As we say, however, whilst some fans of the show are excited to see the foursome return, others have been left baffled by the nature of the announcement, with ITV dropping the cast in batches

"Now why are we doing the cast reveal in groups, what's going on?" one fan asked on Instagram.

Another penned in the comments: "How long until the next bunch are announced?!"

"I need the rest, please and thank you." a third demanded.
