Travis Barker reveals ‘strict but not strict’ dating rules for daughter Alabama

The teen shared a parenting Q&A to TikTok

Every parent has a different set of rules when it comes to raising their children and celebs are no different.

Travis Barker is one of those celebs, and he recently revealed his 'strict but not strict' dating rules for his 18-year-old daughter, Alabama.

The teen took to TikTok yesterday (8 January) to share with her 4.2 million followers a Q&A with the Blink-182 drummer.

Alabama began the video telling viewers: "Okay, guys, I'm asking my strict or not strict dad hypothetical questions. Okay, would you consider yourself strict?"

Without hesitation, Travis, who recently welcomed his first child with wife Kourtney Kardashian, responded 'no' before his daughter asked what he would do if she ever snuck out and he found out the following day?

"I'll tell you how dangerous it is and maybe try to put you on restriction," he replied before Alabama interjected: "I'm not even kidding. Your restriction was his thing."

She then wanted to find out what Travis' reaction would be if she 'went out with a boy' and 'just completely stopped answering' him.

"I would come to your location and I would find you," he told Alabama.

Next up on the teen's list was: "What would you do if me or my friends came home high or drunk?" to which Travis kindly responded: "I would tell you not to ever do it again."

Moving on, Alabama then wanted to know her dad's reaction when it came to all things boys, asking: "Am I allowed to have guy friends over?" to which Travis said she only could if he was also home.

"Am I allowed to close my door with a guy in the room?" she followed up to which Travis replied: "Not without me coming in to check on you."

And last on the boy-related subject, Alabama continued: "Would you let me drive to a guy's house by myself at night?"

"No," Travis replied.

Up next on the rundown was: "What would you do if I towed my car? If my car got towed?"

"I would have you find out where it got towed to," the dad replied before revealing he would also make his daughter pay for it.

She then asked: "What would you do if I stayed out past my curfew?" to which her dad responded: "I'd tell you you don't need to go anywhere the next day and I'd stress to you how important curfew is."

He also said he would 'start doing school' with his daughter if she started skipping all her classes.

Fans rushed in to share their praise for Travis' parenting style.

And, last but by no means least, Alabama asked what Travis would do if she crashed her car.

"I don't really care about the car," he finished up, "I'd worry about if you're okay."

Alabama finished up the Q&A telling viewers: "Okay, guys, tell me if he passed the vibe check."

And it seemed the internet definitely thought Travis passed the 'vibe check' with thousands rushing in to praise his parenting style.

One TikTok user penned: "Omg I love Travis Barker!"

"He is so attentive, empathetic, and loving," wrote a second, while a third chimed in: "He seems like such the sweetest dad."

"He’s only concerned about your safety. Very sweet!" echoed a fourth while a fifth gushed: "Travis for the win. 11/10!"

A final TikTok user confirmed: "ABSOLUTELY PASSED THE VIBE TEST!"
