Tommy Fury has revealed he’s recovering from surgery after opening up about a four-year health struggle that he’d never previously made public.

Tommy, 24, has been through a lot recently, having marked a huge milestone as a dad this week as he celebrated daughter Bambi’s first birthday.

Describing his little one as the ‘biggest blessing’ in a poignant Instagram post, he shared a sweet snap of him and partner Molly-Mae Hague kissing Bambi, who was sitting in her highchair with a themed cupcake in front of her.

But that’s not the only landmark event the dad-of-one has been through in the past few days, as Fury revealed he’s also undergone surgery to help repair his hand - something that’s obviously a crucial tool for a professional boxer.

Posting a photo of him smiling in a hospital bed, he explained that he’d been dealing with an injury since 2019, having chosen not speak about it online until now.

Tommy wrote: “Since 2019 I have been dealing with a hand injury that I’ve never spoken about/shared online.

“Since my third professional fight I have been trying to manage this injury, training and fighting through extreme pain which led me to often not being able to use my right hand at all.

“For the last four weeks of my last camp I trained solely with my left hand until fight night.”

He revealed he'd undergone surgery on his hand.

He added: “This morning I underwent the surgery I’ve been putting off for years as I know this is the only way my hand will heal and that I can move forward with my boxing career.

“I’m excited for my recovery journey and so ready to be back feeling and giving 100% in 2024.”

Molly-Mae showed her support by commenting beneath with three red love hearts, while fans also praised the star for juggling his career with the unfortunate injury.

"Even more impressive that you fought and won your fights with one good hand," one said.

Another agreed: "So you beat KSI and Jake Paul with one hand basically."

A third wrote: "Well done for speaking out!!! Looking forward to seeing you come back even stronger."

Fingers crossed Bambi will be ready to cheer up her dad with plenty of cuddles - that's if she's recovered from her chic birthday party earlier this week, that is!
