Fans in shock as they discover Usher’s age after his Super Bowl halftime performance

Many were stunned to find out how old he was after his incredible performance

Fans have been left stunned after realising Usher’s age, having tuned in to his incredible Super Bowl halftime performance – only to hop straight onto Google to look up how old he is.

Yesterday’s big game saw the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly beat the San Fransisco 49ers, with a last minute touchdown swinging the result to 25 points versus 22.

Of course, many viewers watching at home were less fussed about the sport and more interested in the celebs – with many appearing in high profile ads or casually dropping new music.

The famous halftime show gave us a musical mash-up from Usher, who brought in Alicia Keys, Will.I.Am and Ludacris to help entertain the crowds as the players took a breather.

As he took to the stage, many people were shocked to find out that the singer simply ‘doesn’t age’, with one saying: “He looks the same as he did in 2007!”

Someone else said: “This man Usher doesn’t age, has hits for days, and has been one of the best live performers in the world for decades. Respect.”

Another joked that he ‘aint even old enough to have a mortgage yet’, while one also added: "No way he is a day over 37!"

Usher – whose full name is Usher Raymond IV – was born in 1978, making him 45 years old.

Many admitted to Googling his age after he played his hits.

“Anybody else Googling how old Usher is right now???” one asked, while another said: “Usher is INCREDIBLE. Watched his half time show this morning and just WOW.

"That man is 45 years old! He just doesn’t age I swear.”

Many were stunned to find out Usher's age.

Elsewhere in the evening, Beyoncé dropped a HUGE bombshell when she announced she was releasing two new singles and a country-themed album.

The announcement came at the end of her commercial for US phone company Verizon, in which she played several personas, such as ‘Beyoncé of the United States’, ‘Bar-Bey’ and the first woman to launch the first rocket for the first woman in space.

The ad ended with the singer saying mysteriously: “Okay, they’re ready... Drop the new music."

She added: “I told y’all the Renaissance is not over.”

Beyoncé then took everyone by surprise as she dropped the bombshell that new album Renaissance Act II would be out next month, while also releasing two brand new singles there on the spot.
