With it being only two weeks since Valentine’s Day, news that a famous long-term couple has split has rocked social media.
Romeo Beckham, the 21-year-old footballer son of David and Victoria Beckham, has confirmed he has parted ways with his model girlfriend, Mia Regan, after five years together.
The pair had been dating since 2019, however rumours began surrounding the couple that they had split this year after Romeo failed to mention his beau on Valentine’s Day.

It was only last week when fans decided to take matters into their own hands to find out the truth by posting comments under a picture Romeo shared of himself and his brother Brooklyn, 24.
One fan wrote: “No valentine message for Mia then.? Have they split up?”
Another photo shared later in the day featuring Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz, 18, another person asked in the comments: “What about Mia? Are they still together?”
Someone else said: “Have you and Mia broken up?”
However, the two have now come out to finally put the speculation to bed.
The footballer shared a photo of the pair pulling faces at each other to his Instagram Stories and wrote to fans: "Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love.
"We still have a lot of respect for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will."
Mia went on to share her own statement to her Stories soon after: "This is Ro, we have grown up with each other since we were 16!!
"Love takes different forms & paths as you mature.
"We aren't tougher romantically but we do share lots & lots of love for one another... after 5 years we friendzoned each other heheh."
Just a few hours before the news of their split were released on Saturday, clues may have already been present.
Mia travelled alone to Italy without Romeo at the Missoni show during Milan Fashion Week and an insider gave the scoop to The Mirror: “Romeo and Mia had a fallout… they aren’t together at the moment.
“They were living together, but Mia has apparently moved out of the place they shared and is staying with her parents.
“They’ve split up in the past and got back together again, but this time it feels more serious – Mia moving out obviously points to it being more than just a tiff.”
They couple has last been spotted together at the British Fashion Awards in London in December last year, and although they are known to post each other on social media often, it has been uncharacteristically radio silent until the shared statement.
