Pete Wicks addresses going Instagram-official with Olivia Attwood months after shock split from husband

Pete Wicks has spoken out about hard launching his relationship with Olivia Attwood.

The couple went Instagram official earlier this month, shocking fans with photos from their trip to Ibiza.

The Love Island alum and former TOWIE star have been friends for a while, but have been trying to keep their romantic relationship a secret for months. They were spotted kissing, cuddling and going on dates.

Olivia and her estranged husband Bradley Dack spoke out amid the end of their relationship in the spring.

The 34-year-old reality star and the 32-year-old footballer were initially friends, after meeting in 2015, before a relationship blossomed into romance. They tied the knot in 2023. However, after weeks o speculation, the couple confirmed they separated in January after three years of marriage.

The news came as a huge surprise to fans, as did the news of Olivia’s new relationship. Now, Pete spoke about revealing his new romance with Olivia to the world on the Staying Relevant podcast with Sam Thompson.

The Made in Chelsea star asked how going official had been for the pair, to which Pete said: “Er yeah, the thought process was what would Liv like?”

He continued: “We’d spoken about it and I thought ‘ah f**k it’ you know let’s go and do it.”

“Obviously the first photo had to be of me and Liv, and all I really cared about was I didn’t embarrass her”.

Sam replied: “I don’t think you did”.

Earlier this year in an Instagram statement in March, Olivia said she has 'stood by Brad for 10 years' but claimed he 'lied and cheated' on her 'multiple times'.

She said things came to a head in January when she was approached at one of her shows by someone telling her about a night where he had 'gone back with a random girl'.

The former Love Island star said that after a decade of 'believing the grovelling apologies', it was time to walk away.

Dack did respond to a comment about the ordeal. Daily Mail journalist Katie Hind allegedly wrote under the publication's Instagram post: "Hi @olivia_attwood, when you cite female journalists, you are clearly meaning me. Is this because I didn’t fall for your nonsense? Because I didn’t believe your narrative?

“Because I exposed your PR plan? Because my newspaper revealed your fake wedding and your subsequent lies about being married? But oh no, it’s those bad female journalists, we are the bad ones."

Olivia didn't respond; however, Bradley did reply to her comment, penning: “You’ve got a lot of this wrong.. just leave her alone please.”
