Olivia Attwood has divulged details of her relationship with Pete Wicks, admitting she kept the former Strictly Come Dancing star ‘at arm's length’ in their early days.
The 35-year-old Londoner and Wicks, 37, initially sparked dating rumours earlier this year, with the latter eventually ‘hard launching’ their couple status during a trip to Ibiza.
In September, Attwood and her beau made their official red carpet debut at the National Television Awards (NTAs)—months after the ex-Love Island icon announced she and ex-Bradley Dack, 32, had officially called it quits.
The pair, who were never legally married, ended their relationship after two years, with Attwood describing the breakdown as ‘utterly humiliating’.

She claimed Wicks shared ‘quite soon’ after her split that he had begun to ‘feel romantically’ towards her.
However, the Loose Women presenter admitted that she initially kept the former TOWIE star at ‘arm's length’
“And I kept him at arm’s length for a hot minute but I knew straight away we had a connection that I hadn’t been aware of.”
“To be honest, I don’t think there’s a right way to do this,” she mused, discussing how to launch a public one after another had come to an end,” Attwood continued.
“People really love to get on their high horse and be like, You should be single after that’.
“For me, I love love. I feel like we are only here one time, we only get one go around.

“I have this connection with this friend, we are falling in love with each other, I’m not going to put it on ice because it doesn’t follow the format that people expect you to follow.”
The star added: “It ruffled some feathers and people had opinions on it but I’m only going to go around once. And what’s better than being in love?”

“We'd always kind of been friends, but you kind of see people, you know, events and and whatever else you want to get on, but we just started spending a little bit more time together this year, and and and the kind of that was that was it.”
