Nicola Peltz Beckham issues 'pointed message' amid family feud with David and Victoria

Nicola Peltz Beckham has issued a social media message amid her rumoured family feud with her parents-in-law, David and Victoria.

Now, David Beckham, 50, and 51-year-old Victoria are parents to four children: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20 and their youngest, 14-year-old Harper.

For anyone out of the loop, rumours surrounding an alleged feud within the Beckham family were reignited last week (21 December) when Cruz addressed reports that his mum and dad had unfollowed their eldest son.

He shared a screenshot of a Daily Mail article to his Instagram Stories, and denied its claims, while explaining that he and his parents had unexpectedly been 'blocked' on the social media platform.

"NOT TRUE," Cruz wrote, adding: "My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I."

Since then, we've seen Nicola break her social media silence, Victoria doing the same, as well as Brooklyn and a bunch of other back-and-forths in the ongoing family drama.

And now the latest update in the rumoured saga has seen 30-year-old Nicola, who tied the knot with Brooklyn back in 2022 taking to Instagram following the death of Brigitte Bardot, where she shared a text post quoting the late French actress, which read: "If I could do anything about the way people behave towards each other, I would, but since I can't I'll stick to the animals."

For context, Bardot made the decision to say goodbye to the spotlight and retired from acting in 1973 at the age of 39, due to a desire for a simpler life. She then dedicated herself to animal rights activism, founding the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the Welfare and Protection of Animals in 1986.

However, in 2019, she was fined for inciting racial hatred after calling the people of Réunion 'degenerate savages'.

It was her fifth such conviction, following previous Islamophobic remarks about the island’s Tamil community and a 2006 letter criticising the Muslim festival of Aid el-Kebir, also known as Eid al-Adha.

Bardot was also known for her strong support for France's Front National, a far-right political party which has since been renamed National Rally.

Now, while Nicola's post may just be her paying tribute to the late French cinematic icon, some fans well-invested in the Beckham family feud rumour mill may very easily perceive it as a pointed message, especially given last week's events.
