Millie Bobby Brown has explained the reason why she has chosen not to show her daughter's face on social media after sharing a new family photo.
The 21-year-old Stranger Things star first announced the exciting news alongside her husband Jake Bongiovi, 23, back in August, taking to Instagram to write in a text post: "This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.
"And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi."
Flash-forward some months, and Millie has been sharing with fans on Instagram snippets of mum-life, but has continuously covered her baby girl's face.

In her latest photo dump, posted yesterday (3 December), the Hollywood A-lister included two adorable baby photo snaps. The first showed her holding her daughter with a cute cartoon sticker placed on top of her daughter, with the second following suit.

Millie captioned the adorable photo dump: "The life of a showgirl."
The actress has previously revealed exactly why she doesn't show her daughter's face in social media posts.

During a recent interview with British Vogue, Millie pushed back when asked by the interviewer to share any updates about her daughter, namely regarding her personality.
"I’m not going to," she responded. "For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself."
The mum of one continued: "It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly. If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support. But right now, as she’s so little…
"As her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that."

Millie also noted that she and Jake aren't planning on sharing their daughter's name until 'she’s ready to decide for herself'.
She did, however, share with fans an update on what it's like being a new mum.
"It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey - she’s taught us so much already," the Enola Holmes star gushed.

"Perspective is a huge thing," she continued. "The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy. We are 50-50 on everything."
Praising her hubby, Millie added: "That’s why I’m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life – he is just the most amazing dad."
