Miley Cyrus’ brother claims Katy Perry has copied his sister in surprising rant

Miley Cyrus' brother, Trace, has taken to Instagram to launch quite the scathing attack on Katy Perry following her recent trip to space last week.

Trace's comments come just a matter of days after the controversial space flight, which saw the 40-year-old 'Hot N Cold' singer - along with five other celebrities - launched into space on one of billionaire Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin space tourism flights.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend (19 April), 36-year-old fellow singer Trace shared a video on him sharing his thoughts on Katy, who he alleges copied his younger sister, Miley, 32, from her hair all the way down to her music career.

He began his rant telling his 696k followers: "I first knew Katy Perry, though, and her team were lame as f*ck when her career was first dying."

"And they were like, H'mm, what can we do? What worked for Miley. She cut her hair off, and it broke the internet, and everybody freaked out and she bleached it blonde. We should do that with you, Katy.'

"Katy's like, 'Yeah, yeah, should we do it like, slightly different?'" Trace continued, adding: "'No, we're gonna do it exactly the same.'"

Trace then brought up Miley's transition into 'doing more hip-hop stuff' after working alongside the likes of Mike Will Made It, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J.

He went on, continuing to mimic what he reckons Katy's team discussed at the time: "'We're gonna get you in with the hottest group, the Migos.'

"'You're gonna do exactly what the f*ck Miley did and blow up.'"

He further jabbed: "Guess what? It didn't f*cking work," he went on. "And then they just tried some EDM song or some sh*t because EDM is hot, didn't f*cking work!"

And, finally, Trace brought up Katy recently being sent up to space on an all-female crew last week.

"Now we're gonna send your a** to space," he rounded off the rant. "Didn't f*cking work. It's not working. It's backfiring. Stop."

Trace captioned the clip: "Didn’t work.. try again," along with a dice emoji.

Trace and Miley are the children of Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, who were married for 28 years before they eventually called it quits in April 2022.

Alongside Trace and Miley, they also share daughters Noah and Brandi as well as second son, Braison.
