Social media users are this week coming to terms with the heartbreaking loss of parenting professional and weight-loss influencer Mila De Jesus.

The Brazilian online star - famed for her educating her follows on create a healthier and happier lifestyle - died on January 12, aged 35, after suffering from a suspected cardiac arrest.

News of Mila's passing was shared on social media.

A post delivered to the mother-of-four's personal Instagram account - which boasted an impressive 58k loyal followers - broke the news to her fans today.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mila de Jesus this Friday," the post read in Portuguese.

"In this moment of pain, respect family and friends and we will express our respect to Mila who will miss her a lot."

The trigger of Mila's shock heart attack hasn't yet been disclosed.

The internet sensation first shot to fame back in 2017, after opening up on her decision to undergo a gastric bypass surgery in October of that year, in the hope of losing weight and leading a healthier life.

Her weight loss anniversary was later shared and celebrated with her social media followers, who have since watched her transform her wellbeing for the better.

Mila was widely-adored by her online fans for her refreshing honesty over the highs and lows that come with weight loss, regularly sharing updates and photos.

She celebrated the weight loss anniversary by sharing a post with her nearly 60,000 Instagram followers. De Jesus described the surgery as a decision that changed her life - as she shared before and after pictures of herself.

She also kept her loyal followers in the loop when it came to her various other health ailments, including her battle with psoriasis. She announced she had been battling psoriasis since July, back in October.

"I've been dealing with this situation, 80 percent of my body taken, between doctors, medicines, ointments, and breathing deeply..." she previously admitted in an Instagram post.

Mila is also famed for sharing sweet insights into the realities of parenthood, regularly posting videos and photos of her four gorgeous children, all of whom she shares with beloved husband, George Kowszik.

Since the Instagram announcement of her death, tributes from Mila's friends and fellow influencers have been pouring in.

Brazilian social media star, Flavia Calina, dubbed her 'a very very special and very loved person,' in the comments, adding, 'May God comfort your hearts!'

"Still can't believe it - May God comfort the hearts of the whole family," wrote fellow Brazilian-American internet personality, Camila Coelho.
