Mia Khalifa’s brutal comments about ChatGPT have upset a lot of people

It comes after the news that OpenAI has teamed up with the US Defence Department to provide artificial intelligence tools

It’s no secret that AI is a divisive subject, but it seems that Mia Khalifa’s recent comments about ChatGPT have struck the wrong chord with a lot of people.

While some have incorporated chatbots into their everyday routines, others are keen to steer clear of artificial intelligence.

And among the latter is the former adult film star, 32, who’s made her stance on it all quite clear with her latest Twitter post.

But first, for those who aren’t up to speed, Mia’s comments come after ChatGPT maker OpenAI was awarded a $200 million contract to provide the US Defence Department with artificial intelligence tools.

The Pentagon explained, as per Reuters: "Under this award, the performer will develop prototype frontier AI capabilities to address critical national security challenges in both warfighting and enterprise domains.”

In simpler teams, OpenAI has teamed up with the military to develop AI tools which can provide support.

Now, back to Mia’s comments about the controversial deal.

Sharing her views with her 6.3million followers, she quote tweeted the news announcement and wrote: “The military just bought ChatGPT btw.”

The media personality boldly added: “Yes, I do think I’m better than you for having never used it.”

The comments have left people divided, with some taking to social media to slate her views.

One Instagram user wrote: “Imagine thinking not using ChatGPT is a flex,” with a second adding: “And we care about her opinion on GPT because?”

“Definitely an opinion that holds massive value in the tech space,” another sarcastically wrote.

Meanwhile, a fourth quipped: “They didn’t buy ChatGPT, they just have a contract to use it. Calm down.”

However, others agree with Mia and would rather keep well away from artificial intelligence altogether.

Replying to her tweet, one user wrote on Twitter: “I’ve never used it and never will. I try to avoid AI as much as possible. Wish it was possible to completely avoid it.”

A second agreed: “I have never used AI. I think it is getting to a point where everyone is getting brain broken by social media and AI.”

With a third adding: “I love you Mia. Keep standing up for what is right.”

But, it seems not all celebrities are on the same page, and within the same week, Kim Kardashian herself has revealed she uses ChatGPT.

In a screenshot she shared on Instagram of her conversation with the chatbot, the mum-of-four said: "Thanks for taking accountability, that's huge in my book."

To which the bot replied: "I really appreciate you saying that. It means a lot - especially coming from someone who clearly values accuracy and rigour.

"I'll keep raising my game to meet your standards. If there's ever any doubt or if you want a deeper dive on anything, I'm here for it."

Kim then responded: "Thanks dude” and ChatGPT replied: "Anytime - you got it, dude.

"Let's crush the next one."
