Pamela Anderson broke her own no makeup rule at this year's Met Gala.

Pamela, 56, graced the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a nude Oscar de la Renta gown, which featured a sheer train and nearly 200 carats worth of diamonds.

The actor wore her hair in a loose updo and also included a touch of glam, which is unusual for her as of late.

Normally, Pamela opts for a makeup free look, but decided to instead incorporate a 'dewy, soft, and ethereal' style to complement her breathtaking dress.

The artist behind Pamela's Met Gala makeup was Pat McGrath, who spoke about the look to Vogue.

"We wanted to explore the next incarnation of natural - an elevation of natural - and to show how you can wear a full face of makeup but in a very fresh and beautiful way," she said.

Speaking to The New York Times, Pamela explained: “I feel like everything has led me to this pinnacle moment where I get to be at the Met, being respected and accepted by Anna Wintour.

“I can imagine that in the past I was not someone she would ever take a second look at. I wasn’t in fashion, ever. I wasn’t cool. And I know those things may seem really superficial to some people, but it means a lot to me. I think I’m ready to meet her now.”

The Baywatch star previously spoke to ELLE about why she stopped wearing makeup, explaining she decided to go bare faced after her friend and makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, passed away from breast cancer in 2019.

"She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it's just better for me not to wear makeup," she said.

Pamela added to People that she never imagined how much attention she would get simply for ditching the cosmetics.

"I call if Life-ing, not aging," she said. "Chasing youth is futile. All we can do is embrace who we are at the moment we are in, and be okay with where our feet stand right now.

"I can just be me. It's very freeing to be comfortable in your own skin."

Pamela continued: "I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone’s doing."

Since then, the star has rocked an au naturel look during several red carpet appearances, and has had heaps of praise from fans.

Back in March, fans couldn't stop praising Pamela after she ditched makeup at the Oscars.

Many rushed to social media to share their thoughts, with one X user writing: "She looks amazing!"

"Beautiful!" gushed a second, while a third echoed: "Wow beautiful!"

A fourth chimed in: "She looks great!"

And a final user commented: "She is so naturally stunning."
