When the pair announced the news they were expecting a child last November, some fans were left scratching their heads after the couple previously revealing they'd called time on their engagement. It came after weeks of the rumour mill churning about the status of their relationship, as fans questioned what had gone down.

March - Hired as co-stars
Following a chance meeting in the years prior while Fox, 38, was married to ex-husband Brian Austin, she and MGK (real name Colson Baker) came face-to-face properly on the set of 2021 serial killer flick Midnight in the Switchgrass.

The actress later claimed that she immediately felt a connection to the rockstar rapper.
"It was obvious from second one what it was going to be," she told GQ Style in 2021. "I did not anticipate walking right into my soulmate like that.
"I was obviously over the way I had been living, and those paths lined up, those doors opened. It was [as if] all the obstacles that had kept us apart all those years [had been removed] and we were able to finally intersect."
May - Secret meet-ups
In the months that followed, the pair were seen enjoying some one-on-one time together.

September - The 'L' bomb
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the musician claimed his new beau changed his outlook on romance, claiming he 'didn't know' what 'love was' until they met.
"After I made the big chunk of the album, I did fall in love for the first time," he continued. "That was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that."
"I definitely wasn’t set up to believe that that’s something that could ever exist."

Speaking to GQ, the rock star re-iterated that Fox has long been the woman of his dreams, claiming he even had her 2008 'Sexiest Woman in the World' photoshoot posters on his walls as a teen.
September - Double dates
Fox was joined in the girls bathroom of that year's VMAs by Kourtney Kardashian, with the gal pair being photographed locking lips with their partners, MGK and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, behind the scenes.

January - MGK pops the question
Fox shared a video on Instagram of the rap star getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.
In a gushy caption she wrote at the time, the Transformers star penned: "We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time.
"Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.
"Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes. … and then we drank each other’s blood."

For Fox's 36th birthday, the pair got matching ring-finger tattoos showing voodoo dolls with stitches and pinned hearts.

August - Break-up rumours
After not being seen together for several weeks, MGK's Hulu documentary Life in Pink hears him confess he nearly took his own life one night while on the phone with the actress.
"I called Megan, I was like, 'You aren't here for me'," he explained. "I’m in my room, and I’m, like, freaking out on her, and, dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth, and I’m yelling on the phone, and, like, the barrel’s in my mouth.

February - A rough patch
Sources begin telling press that the couple are enduring a turbulent stage in their relationship behind the scenes.
One insider told PEOPLE: "They haven’t officially called off the engagement, but Megan took her ring off."
They added, however, that they 'have had issues in the past, [but] things seem pretty serious this time.'
After the pair were subsequently seen attending a marriage counselling meeting, another source told the publication: "Megan is still upset but is not giving up on their relationship. [Kelly] feels the same way.
"They are getting professional help because they want things to work out."
Fox was also forced to address cheating rumours with a statement on Instagram, slamming them as 'baseless'.
"There has been no third-party interference in this relationship of any kind," she wrote. "That includes, but is not limited to … actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons."

An insider told Us weekly that the pair are 'currently on a break but are still in contact. They are very hot and cold'.
They added: "They have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues. Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment.
"They are currently off, but still texting each other."
April - Some time in the sun
The pair are seen together holidaying in Hawaii.
A source also told Entertainment Tonight that MGK was doing everything he could to win Fox back.
"Megan and Machine Gun Kelly have been making an effort to work out their issues as a couple and things have been getting better," they claimed. "Machine Gun Kelly has been going out of his way to make sure Megan feels happy, loved, and secure with him."

The same publication reported that the pair were once again back 'in a really good place'.

During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Fox revealed that she and MGK had called off their engagement the year prior.
"I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption," she explained.
"I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what.

March - The baby arrives
MGK confirmed yesterday (27 March) that Fox had given birth to a baby girl.
Informing their fans of the news on Instagram, he wrote: "She’s finally here!! Our little celestial seed."
