Machine Gun Kelly worries fans with concerning admission about his eating habits

The rapper told the HipHop-N-More group he suffers from a severe lack of appetite

Fans of Machine Gun Kelly have been left with concerns over his wellbeing this week, after the rapper made a series of questionable comments over his diet in a social media video.

Despite originally being shared last month, the candid video shows MGK sitting down with the HipHop-N-More group has recently re-emerged.

Speaking in the clip, the father-of-two admitted enduring a lack of diet, claiming he often fails to experience much of an appetite between performances. "I don’t really eat," he casually claimed. "I just do water a bunch."

After the show's hosts appeared concerned, asking him to clarify whether he means he's partial to fasting, MGK could be seen shaking his head.

"Like, I ate that burger 'cause we’re streaming, and it’s my man’s s**t, you know?" he continued.

A presenter then went on to prompt him further, asking: "OK, if we weren’t streaming, what would you have had for dinner?"

"Probably water," he slowly replied.

"But how?" one of the visibly-shocked hosts demanded. "You don’t ever feel weak or lightheaded?"

MGK, 35, then seemed to backtrack slightly, explaining: "Yeah, sometimes. I’ll eat, like, a couple times a week."

Whilst MyHealthGroup states that there could be several benefits to fasting for several hours - including assisting with weight loss, improving blood glucose levels, repairing damaged cells and reducing dementia risks - the agency also emphasises several risks to the practice.

This is especially the case, BUPA continues, in individuals who are pregnant, have Type-1 diabetes, have a history of disordered eating, or have anxiety or depression. Harvard Health adds that individuals prone to fasting may endure frustrating symptoms like stomach burn or indigestion, a headache, dehydration, lethargy, crankiness, and constipation

Speaking on the interview, MGK went on to add that the small meals he does eat usually consist of 'bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut'.

"'Cause it has probiotics, you know?" he went on to explain. "So, like, when you do those water fasts, the only thing that’s crazy is it kills all the good bacteria in you, too, so you gotta put the pro[biotics]."

For those in need of a reminder, kimchi is a Korean dish consisting of fermented vegetables - most notably, Napa cabbage and radish. Sauerkraut is a somewhat similar German dish, consisting of shredded cabbage that’s fermented with lactic acid bacteria.

This fermentation process prompts microorganisms like bacteria or yeast break down sugars and starches in the absence of oxygen.

During the interview, MGK was also asked if he drinks 'green juice and s**t, too' by one of the presenters, to which he replied: "I’ll drink celery juice sometimes, yeah. Coconut water."

The star also joked that both 'coffee and cigarettes' are vital elements of his diet.

Unfortunately for the star, however, many fans have found his remarks to be far from a laughing matter.

"He once said he has daily headaches. This is def why," one pointed out in the video's comments.

Another added: "Fasting and starvation are two different things. I fast till lunch and I tend to eat my last meal at 6."

Tyla contacted MGK's representatives for comment.
