Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips confirms split from boyfriend after arrest

Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has confirmed she’s split from boyfriend Billy Webb, following his arrest for drug offences earlier this year.

Billy was arrested at the end of January - just three months before Lucia, his first child with Shaughna, was born - having been charged with possession and intent to supply a Class A drug.

“On Friday 20th January, officers arrested a male on Kentish Town Road NW5 after recovering a quantity of Class A drugs,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson explained.

“A search of a nearby address led to further Class A drugs being recovered, including Cocaine and MDMA.

“Billy Webb was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs on 21 January.”

They added: “Webb was remanded at court to appear at Southwark Crown Court on an unspecified date.”

At the time, a representative for Shaughna asked the public to be mindful of her ‘imminent’ birth during the ‘difficult’ period for the mum-to-be.

They said in a statement: “Despite being in a long term relationship with the defendant, Shaughna has no links with the address in question, and will be openly assisting the police with their enquiries.

“We kindly ask the public to be mindful of the imminent birth of Shaughna's baby and allow her some privacy during this difficult and stressful time.”

Shaughna also told OK! that she had been through a ‘challenging few weeks’ as her baby’s father wasn’t ‘around’, saying: “But my main focus has always been just to prepare for the birth and try to be as calm as possible.”

She added: “Billy’s not around, but I don’t want to say that I’m doing it on my own, because I’m absolutely not - my family’s incredible.

“It’s going to be different, but I don’t want to say it’s going to be bad.”

The 29-year-old reality TV star has since revealed that she is no longer with Lucia’s father, confirming in a podcast episode that the relationship with Billy is over and that she is now raising her daughter as a single mum.

Speaking on her Oh Baby! podcast with best friend Holly Connolly, Shaughna said: "I'm going to wear the title as a badge of honour - I don't have any guilt about being a single mum it's just the hand of cards that I was dealt," and added that she felt like 'mum of the year'.

She jokingly said: "I just hope that one day Lucia doesn't write a diss track about me!"

Shaughna also said her daughter had already nailed saying ‘Dada’, but was yet to master ‘Mama’.

"All I get is ‘Dada, Dada’ and I'm like, 'Wow a son would not do me dirty like this!’” she laughed.

“It's just rude!

"I look at her and go 'Mama' and she's like, 'Not today, probably not next month, maybe not ever'. For banter she's probably going to say Nana first."
