Lindsay Lohan has shared an adorable personal gift for her new baby, sent from the tot's ‘movie grandmother’ Jamie Lee Curtis.

The 37-year-old recently welcomed her son, Luai, with husband Bader Shammas.

Born in Dubai, his Arabic name means ‘shield or protector’.

Announcing the arrival of Lohan’s baby, her rep said in a statement last month: “Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love."

Not long after the news of the birth went public, Curtis shared a photo of her and Lohan together.

She wrote on Instagram: “MAGIC MONDAY! My movie daughter just made me a movie grandmother. Blessings to Lindsay and Bader for the birth of Luai!”

Both the actors starred in Freaky Friday, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

For those who have somehow never seen or heard of this absolute Disney comedy classic, Lohan plays teen Anna and Curtis her mum Tess.

Based on a 1972 novel, the two characters’ bodies switch after a mysterious Chinese fortune cookie.

And this week, Lohan shared an Instagram story of the sweet gift she was sent from her co-star; a bundle of baby books.

The selection included titles written by Curtis herself including Where do Balloons Go? and My Mommy Hung the Moon: A Love Story.

This totally adorable collection was delivered via the actors’ curated My Hand in Yours gift service which donates all its profits to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Back in April, Curtis gushed over Lohan becoming a mom and reposted images from her gorgeous baby shower.

She wrote: “My friend and film daughter @lindsaylohan is growing up! So thrilled for her. What a mama she will be.”

Fans are hopeful of seeing the pair return as mother and daughter on screen again, after Disney confirmed a Freaky Friday sequel was in development in May 2023.

Curtis and Lohan recently spoke to The New York Times to commemorate the film’s anniversary, as Lohan said of appearing in a sequel: “Jamie and I are both open to that. So we’re leaving it in the hands that be."

Lohan also recently shared a stunning mirror selfie of her postpartum body to Instagram.

She wrote in the caption: “I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery. Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world!”

In an iconic reference to the Mean Girls movie, she added: “My OOTD lately is my @fridamom postpartum underwear. Because I’m not a regular mom, I’m a postpartum mom.”
