Lil’ Kim has left people seriously confused after she made a 'wild' plea amidst the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, which have now claimed the lives of 25 people as well as forcing more than 100,000 locals to evacuate their homes.

The statement in question, posted on Tuesday (14 January) to X, read: "Been sending strong prayers up for LA and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking."

The 'Lady Marmalade' rapper then issued an extremely bizarre plea, stating she was praying for a 'monsoon' to hit the affected area.

According to the Met Office, a monsoon is 'characterised by a dramatic seasonal change in direction of the prevailing winds of a region which brings a marked change in rainfall'.

They can can cause flooding, damage infrastructure, wash away crops as well as destroy the water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure in place.

"I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon in LA," she finished off the statement.

Lil' Kim captioned the post '#PrayForLA' along with a praying hands emoji.

Naturally, people were seriously perplexed by her words with many rushing to social media to share their reactions.

One X user penned: "Ending one natural disaster with another one is crazy," as a second added: "That’s not the best answer maybe…"

"Make it monsoon? A disaster on top of the existing disaster? No ma'am," declared a third while a fourth wrote: "

A fifth quipped: "Girl do you even know what monsoon means?"

While a sixth explained: "A monsoon?!?! She meant rain lord, rain! Not a monsoon. Bless her heart. She meant well but we absolutely don’t need a monsoon, we need rain! Take her prayer off the list!"

"Her heart was in the right place," added another.
