Kylie Jenner has issued a candid update regarding her health to her millions of fans earlier this week.
The 28-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram today (4 December) to share with her 391 million followers that she recently underwent stem cell therapy after experiencing chronic back pain since her last pregnancy back in 2021.
Chronic back pain after pregnancy can stem from hormonal changes, weaker abdominal muscles, shifting posture and the physical stress of newborn care.
Kylie is a mother of two, sharing a seven-year-old daughter, Stormi, who was born in 2018 and her three-year-old son, Aire, who was welcomed to the world in 2021 with her ex-boyfriend, Travis Scott. Kylie and Travis confirmed their split in January 2023.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, she shared a snap of her being cuddled by friends, writing: "My girls by my side."
She then uploaded a snap of her lying in a hospital bed with the overlay text explaining: "I've been dealing with bad chronic back pain for almost 3 years after my last pregnancy, and nothing I tried seemed to help."

Referencing her older sister Kim Kardashian, who had a similar treatment, Kylie continued: "Hearing how much relief Kim got gave me the confidence to look into stem cell therapy: I went to @dr.akhan and his team at @eterna.health, and I'm honestly so grateful for the opportunity and resources."

Kim underwent stem cell therapy in Mexico for shoulder and back pain after a shoulder injury led to chronic pain, also receiving treatment from Dr. Adeel Khan at Eterna Health, using his trademarked 'MuseCells'.

Kylie made sure to include the disclaimer: "Everyone's body is different, but this has been a huge step in my healing: Definitely do your research...
"Talk to your doctor and medical professionals, but l just wanted to share in case this helps anyone."

The next photo showed the Kylie Cosmetics founder wearing bandages on her lower back before posting a selfie alongside Dr Akhan in his medical office.
Kylie's final photo in the Instagram Stories series was a snap showing the medical office's 'Eterna' branding.

Swiss Medica explains: "Stem cell treatment for lower back pain is a regenerative medicine approach that utilises the body’s own healing mechanisms to address the root causes of pain and slow the disease progression."

The health organisation also pointed to recent studies and the way stem cells function to explain how it works for lower back pain.
