Kim Kardashian has addressed the reason why she posted holiday photos just a matter of hours after her grandmother MJ’s death.
Kim's mum, Kris Jenner, announced the news on Instagram yesterday (16 July), sharing that MJ, real name Mary Jo Shannon, had passed away earlier that day at the age of 91.
"My heart is broken into a million pieces… thank you for giving me the greatest childhood and oh what a beautiful blessed life… I love you forever Mommy," Kris wrote in her touching social media tribute.
"Thank you for giving us everything."
Shortly after Kris' announcement, Kim posted a series of snaps from a recent family holiday alongside the caption 'lake life'.
After receiving several comments from fans confused over her post, Kim took to the comments to clear up that the photo dump was pre-scheduled.

"I've been by my mom and grandma's side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now. We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we'll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life."
She later posted a tribute to MJ, sharing a series of photos of her and her grandmother.

She continued: "You always believed in me, championed me, and were my safe place. You truly were the matriarch of our family, and your love is woven into all of us.
"I know you’re at peace now. Give Papa Harry, Aunt Karen, and my dad a hug for me. You will always be a part of me, I love you soooooo much and I will miss you forever and ever. 🤍 YOU ARE THE BEST OF US!!!"
Kim concluded the heartfelt tribute, adding: "I know you are up in heaven, looking at all of our Instagram posts of you from your sneaky finsta account you would always use lol."
