Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her father Ozzy’s death, including what the family did in the days following his passing.
The rock legend tragically died aged 76 on July 22, 2025, with his cause of death later being revealed as cardiac arrest, while he also suffered from coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.
The Black Sabbath frontman left behind his wife of 43 years, Sharon Osbourne, and their children, Aimee, 42, Kelly, 41, and Jack, 40.
Speaking to Hello! Magazine in a new interview, Kelly has reflected on the heartbreaking day she lost her father, just over a year on.

“It's been the hardest year of my life,” she said, “I'll never be the person I was before my father died… a part of me died, too."
Kelly discussed the Osbourne family’s unconventional way of grieving their patriarch, as she explained that in the days following his death they didn’t put him ‘in any sort of morgue’.

She recalled: “He came straight home and we got to spend a few days with him and mourn with him, and make sure that everything was the way we wanted it to be."
A few days after this, tens of thousands of Ozzy fans took to the streets of Birmingham for a public and emotional funeral procession - something Kelly said ‘saved them’.
The reality TV star also touched on the unfair online scrutiny and body shaming she experienced after attending the BRIT Awards in February.
Opening up on how she navigated such a difficult time, she told the outlet: "I didn't navigate it - I wasn't well. How can you navigate something so cruel when you're so sick?”
Kelly added: "I'm getting a lot better. I've got all the help I need, and I’m grateful for the support I have in my life.
"[I have] this incredible team of people I’ve built around me who are not just my friends, because what you'll find when you're grieving is that people don't know how to handle it, and you do lose a lot of friends. But the ones who stick around are the real ones. To go through what I had to go through on top of all of that just made it even harder. So I just had to ignore it."
At the time, Kelly hit out at the cruel trolls with a public message to her Instagram Story.

She responded to a particularly nasty comment that read, 'Looks like a dead body… she's tooooo thin and fragile… Looks like she's going to see her dad soon'.
"Literally can't believe how disgusting some human beings truly are," she hit out whilst sharing a screenshot of the hate comment. "No one deserves this sort of abuse!"
She continued: "This too shall pass, but like, holy f**k."
In a longer message, she later penned: “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something."
“Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.
"None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character.
“I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way."
