Kelly Osbourne makes 'really hard' admission about mum Sharon’s Tommy Robinson views

Kelly Osbourne has spoken out after being asked about her mum Sharon's reported views about Tommy Robinson.

The daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne was being interviewed on the red carpet for the National Television Awards by Attitude Magazine when they asked her how she felt about her mum's alleged support of the Tommy Robinson march.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Sharon had shared her support online and was planning to attend a rally organised by Robinson and his supporters.

Robinson, whose real is name Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, organised a rally called 'Unite The Kingdom' in London to oppose immigration back in April.

Another influencer, @gaucireports, had shared a post about the political event and Sharon commented on the post saying: "See you at the march."

When asked about the Tommy Robinson rally, Kelly asked: "The who?” before they repeated the question.

"I don’t agree. I don't agree with my mum, no… That's one thing that I can say that I don't agree with her on," she replied.

"It's hard, because I love my mum, but I have to understand she’s entitled to her own opinions as well."

The star continued: "It's really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but that's not for me."

She was then asked about her thoughts on Sharon's 'LQBTQ+ rights', to which a shocked Kelly answered: "I was always of the understanding that my mum was of the same opinion as me?"

The unnamed journalist alleged Sharon had made comments which 'may not align with the trans community in particular' to which Kelly said she felt 'sad'.

"I don't know if my mum knows enough trans people to make a fair judgement on anything to do with that sort of thing," she added. "Whereas for me, that is my world."

"To be born into a body that doesn't belong to you, I couldn't imagine anything worse."

Sharon had previously appeared on the Sage Steele podcast and shared her thoughts about trans women in sports, which sparked controversy.

Kelly replied: “The LGBTQ+ community is everything to me, I wouldn’t be me without them.”

“They’re the only community that has accepted me no matter what, they taught me how to be myself, fearless, and to truly believe that I can be whatever I want to be."

"I was such a tomboy, and it was the drag queens who taught me how to do make-up", she recalled. "It was the trans community who taught me about bravery... RuPaul's Drag Race taught me to stand like a lady," she joked, "They taught me how to pose properly."

"Every ounce of creativity and beauty in this world I think comes from this community," insisted Kelly.

Kelly stressed: “If I ever sit down and have a conversation with my mum about stuff like this, she gets it. I think honestly that it is just a misunderstanding,” she added.
