Katie Price has received backlash after vaping on her latest podcast episode, despite her mum having an incurable lung condition.

The former I'm a Celeb contestant is never far from controversy, and this time her critics are after her for vaping during an episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, reminding her of the influence she has on young people.

The 45-year-old puffed on her e-cigarette while chatting to her sister Sophie, and fans were far from impressed.

Katie’s mum, Amy, was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017, and despite having the illness under control now, it was once terminal.

Amy had to undergo a lifesaving transplant, without which she would have had only two weeks left to live.

A number of viewers of the podcast vocalised their opinions in the comments section, one said: “Vaping on camera is so irresponsible, especially with your mum's lung disease.”

Another added: “Vaping ffs …. A very bad advert for your younger fans, show some responsibility please.”

According to a study conducted by Action on Smoking and Health, among 18-year-olds, 40.8 percent have tried an e-cigarette.

Tyla has contacted Katie Price's representatives for a comment.

During the podcast, Katie talked about a clip of her singing that had been doing the rounds on TikTok, and she wasn’t best pleased with the feedback.

Defensively, she said: “Someone's tried to distort it and make me sound s**t.

“People have seen me singing on TikTok live to know that I can sing it.

“Whatever I do, people try to knock it, damage it, do something to discredit me.

“I can sing it.”

Earlier this year, Amy revealed that she seriously considered sectioning her daughter due to concerns that she was suicidal.

Her worried mum believed that Katie’s car crash as a result of drink driving in September 2021, was an attempt to take her own life.

This isn’t the only controversy that Katie has been involved in this week.

Viewers of her TikTok live video were outraged after hearing a ‘loud smack’ off the camera, just after she had raised her hand in the air at her young German Shepherd.

A friend was heard in the background saying: “It’s like having a baby - worse actually.

“At least a baby would just sit there.”
