Justin Bieber fans think they worked out meaning behind picture of him crying months after it was posted

Eagle eyed Justin Bieber fans reckon they've decoded the real reason why he uploaded a tearful selfie earlier this year in April.

The 'Never Say Never' singer uploaded a series of photos to Instagram without a caption, some of which showed him performing, and two of which showed him crying.

At the time, his wife Hailey Bieber commented: "A pretty crier."

When the happily married duo announced that Hailey was pregnant with their first child shortly after on 9 May, fans speculated that the tears had been tears of joy.

Hailey eventually gave birth to their son, Jack Blues Bieber, on 22 August, with the two sharing a photo of his foot to social media.

Before the context became apparent, fans were sent into complete overdrive trying to understand the emotional photos.

The rumours finally started to be put to rest when one person started a Reddit thread titled: "‘Hailey Bieber Is Pregnant and Expecting a Baby With Her Husband Justin Bieber!"

One person wrote: "Lol I just commented this as well. The crying photo, the dad asking for prayers suddenly convey a different message or tone. People were reaching for anything and everything with no full picture of what was actually going on.”

Another added: “Yeah people are always waiting for celebrities, especially Justin, to fall for their entertainment & thus assume the worst. They tend to forget we don't really know these people & their lives.”

A third said: "Bieber’s IG post with the picture of him crying. He was probably really happy."

While a fourth added: "Ahh so THAT’S why he was crying the other day. It was happy tears!"

But some weren't entirely convinced that they were happy tears, commenting: "He really did look very sad in those photos. I hope he’s working on himself so he can be a good father and a good husband to a post partum mother. I know they can afford all the help in the world but he also needs to not be another baby that Hailey has to worry about. Men sometimes struggle when they’re not the center of attention anymore because of the new baby. He needs to be ok and be present for his kid.

Following the birth of their son, Justin posted on Instagram: "WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER," while Hailey posted two months later: "It’s October and I’m someone’s Mom."
