Jamie Laing has angered some fans after admitting he tried to ‘initiate’ sex with his wife Sophie three weeks after she gave birth.
In a clip from their podcast Newly Parents, the Made in Chelsea star, 37 chatted with Sophie Habboo about their sex life after welcoming their first child, a baby boy named Ziggy in December last year.
He said: “I tried to initiate it like a couple of weeks in, and you were like, ‘Are you kidding me look at me’.”
Habboo joked about Laing's request, and said in mocking voice: “‘Please Sophie, I waited a year’, literally crying.’”

She also said that Laing after three weeks, was, “literally like we need to have sex, like this is not normal.”
Although Laing said he was not crying, Sophie joked again: “‘You went please’ and stamped your little arms on your legs.’”
Habboo had an emergency C-section when delivering their son.
The new mum recalled telling her husband that she ‘physically can not’ due to having stitches all over me down there’ while also noting that she needed to be signed off by the doctor to have sex.

The couple had been chatting about their sex life and how becoming parents has made them more ‘frisky’.
“We were celibate for the whole year,” they said about the pregnancy.
Fans have complained about the comments and the couple’s anecdote after the clip went viral on TikTok.
“At a MINIMUM being so uneducated about your partners post natal recovery is an ick in 2026 never mind all the whining and red flags,” one fan declared.
Another TikTok user wrote: “Him giggling like that after admitting this made me want to throw hands.”
While a third person complained: “I actually can’t believe they posted that on the internet as if it’s funny.”
Someone else complained: "Nothing about that is cute and he's not the first to act like that."
Tyla has contacted Laing's representatives for comment.

Laing married Habboo in a Chelsea Town Hall, London service in April 2023, which was later followed by a larger celebration in Sotogrande, Spain
The couple shared the happy news on Instagram on 4 December, with a photo of 31-year-old Habboo smiling sweetly from her hospital bed, holding her newborn tightly in her arms.
In the caption of the post announcing their son’s birth, she and Laing confirmed they'd named their baby boy Ziggy, adding: "You have our whole hearts."
In the weeks after welcoming their baby, both Habboo and Laing shared several insights into their new life online, including this weekend, when the latter uploaded footage from their first Christmas a three.
Laing, 37, has forged quite the career for himself as a popular podcast host and social media influencer since stepping down from the hit E4 reality TV series.
