Evanna Lynch is best known for portraying Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter, but did you know she embarked on a secret relationship while starring in the franchise?
The Irish star, now 32, first stepped out as the eccentric Ravenclaw student back in 2007 after being discovered at an open casting call.
After winning the role in 2006, she began work on the fifth instalment of the Warner Bros series - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

While being directed by David Yates, Evanna acted alongside trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, as well as legends Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman.
The movie, based on JK Rowling’s fantasy fiction novel of the same name, follows Harry Potter’s (played by Daniel) fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Upon their arrival at the magic school, Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) refuses to teach her students defensive spells.
Taking matters into their own hands, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students alike band together to form the illegal duelling club ‘Dumbledore’s Army’.
Meanwhile, antagonist Voldermort (Ralph Fiennes) is growing stronger. Eventually, a group consisting of Harry, Luna and more head to the Ministry of Magic to apprehend him and his followers.
However, while filming Order of the Phoenix across England and Scotland, Evanna struck up a relationship with one of her co-stars - Robbie Jarvis.
The actor, now 37, portrayed a younger version of Harry’s father, James Potter, during the movie.
In a short flashback scene, James can be seen laughing amongst his other Marauders as he torments a young Severus Snape (Alec Hopkins).
After meeting on set, Robbie and Evanna managed to keep their partnership under wraps until 2015.
However, fans were thrilled when they confirmed their romance by uploading a series of snaps to Instagram.
In May 2015, Evanna shared a sweet tribute to her boyfriend on social media and wished him a happy birthday.
The couple also starred in pictures that were taken in New Zealand. They pair had taken a trip to visit Hobbiton, where the Lord of the Rings movies were filmed.
Unfortunately, their relationship wasn’t to last and they went their separate ways in 2016.
Despite their split, Evanna and her ex-partner remained good friends, with her later revealing: “We're both vegans, so we go to a lot of vegan events together. So yeah, we're good friends.”
